[Bug 274280] [NEW] intrepid ibex - xorg fails to load: (EE) module ABI major version (0) doesn't match the server's version (1)
Public bug reported: I tried to upgrade from Hardy to intrepid ibex and xorg fails to load. A gui pops up showing the error message "(EE) module ABI major version (0) doesn't match the server's version (1) (EE) Failed to load module "dri" (module requirement mismatch, 0)" and offers to reconfigure xorg but is not able to do so. [Bug 270943] Re: drive adapter seen on Live CD partitioner not seen at boot-time - cannot boot after installing
While I cannot figure this out, the more I study, I see: grub sees partition / at BusyBox it has disappeared. when trying to load newer kernel the wrong partition is mounted for root, in this case it is NTFS. Due to /dev/sdb bcoming /dev/sdd, instead. I suspect it was booting ok before a kernel upgrade. This is why I am stuck at last-good-boot. I was mistaken, all drives seem to be there, but the partition has been removed. All other partitions are present. If you know what the problem is I'd appreciate knowing. Perhaps it is due to some error of mine. It also seems to me that SATAII 3G drives are running on USB emulation. Daniel, Unfortunately no. I am using the latest version (1.9.0.2+build6 +nobinonly-0ubuntu2) and it still exhibits the crashing. Bug #239182 already deals with the original windowless mode bug in Firefox that was discovered (and fixed) in 3.0.2, and it impacted all users (with and without nspluginwrapper). I don't know if this could add information/insight or not, but I also have fan issues on a Dell: if I resume (using either Ubuntu or Kubuntu) out of standby often, but not always, the fans kick-in to full speed and won't stop, and the whole computer slows to a snail's crawl (excruciatingly). [Bug 274130] Re: Please merge anthy 9100e-3.2 (main) from Debian unstable (main)

I thought that it should be removed to avoid confusion. Should I remain it?
