This is theft, so please go talk about this elsewhere.

People can look at files like these to get the same info:

blazen. Dat is toch geen diefstal?

How can this be seen as theft, when you're able to recycle those pc's?
The owner got rid of it, he didn't need them anymore. You're able
to give the pc's a second life. And when they agree that you take
those pc's with you, how can it be theft then?

I didn't really understood the first message, but the message seems really
clear here in ICDI area : It's totally forbidden to take out anything out
the container park. I don't know for other parks.

I didn't really *see* the first message.
The only reason I saw parts of it, was because you guys replied and
quoted. Really people, the cow said it:

Maybe "theft" isn't exactly the correct expression, but there is a law
to disallow others from sifting through your garbage to find personal
information or company secrets or whatever.

If you want your PC recycled (as in: re-used), you can bring it to a
"kringloopwinkel" or any other company or organisation that recycles
PCs. Or you can give it to someone you know of course.

It would be nice if you would try to send only on topic message to this
list. According to the subscription page [1], this list discuss:

This Ubuntu Belgium list is mainly used for coordination & organisation
of local Ubuntu-activities in Belgium.

So if your message is not about organising a local ubuntu event, please
post the message to a more appropriate list. If it is about support in
Ubuntu, maybe you can try ubuntu-nl, if it's not related to ubuntu, I'm
sure you can find appropriate lists.

Thank you for understanding and respecting this!

Thanks,
François Cauwe

[Ubuntu-be] Meet the fawn! -- Ubuntu Gathering on April 22

2007-04-16 Thread Alexandre Ficelle
Hello Ubuntu friends!

The newest release of Ubuntu will be out in a couple of days. As you
probably know, the mascot of this new version is the Feisty Fawn. We at
Ubuntu-be.org wanted to do something a bit out of the ordinary to
celebrate this event.

To stay in the spirit of this release, we decided to go meet some
real deers, and hopefully fawns as well! Join us on Sunday April 22,
2007 at 14:30 in the nature park in La Reid.

To get there, hop aboard the minivan traveling across Belgium. All
practical details can be found on the wiki. Please add your name there
too if you plan on coming!

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BelgianTeam/meet_the_fawn

Spread the word around! Hoping to see you all there...

Sincerely,

   Alexandre Laurent
