I think the design doesn't really do justice to the current UI language. I
think maybe a better option would be to base your design on the current design
aesthetic and build from there. Prev posters have built more pleasant looking
approaches. I can assist in submitting a derivative of those works, though I
find myself on mailing lists purely to syphon info from the Open Source
community and hopefully apply the combined knowledge as my own GPL'd artworks
(with the appropriate attributions of course).

Although I'm a print designer by experience, I would recommend you to look at
current UI aesthetics when creating mock-ups.

Thanks
Judah

Hi,
not a regular here, but I believe if something is set up, IRC is the best
option. For various reasons, it being awesome as one of them.

Maybe neutral ground (something like EFNet or Freenode) would be better?

It's been quiet for a long time (and very few users) but an
#ubuntu-art channel does exist on irc.freenode.net. Maybe it's time to
revive it? :)

[ubuntu-art] new launchpad locoteams branding needed

2013-01-09 Thread YoBoY

Hi everyone and happy new year :)

I just noticed we haven't changed the branding on the locoteams
launchpad team page (https://launchpad.net/~locoteams). It's not really
important, but I love having those icons on my launchpad page, and this
one is old ;)

What we need:
 - an icon 14x14 (<5kb)
 - a logo 64x64 (<50kb)
 - a mugshot 192x192 (<100kb)

The icons appears everywhere in small size, so no text in it. It should
reflect ubuntu or the community.

The logo appears on the launchpad team page.
The mugshot appears if you display a team members photos where this team is.

The locoteams-approved, and ubuntu-lococouncil can also have some love
with the branding. :D

So, if some of you can think of this and propose some design to fix
these icons/logos/mugshots it should be great. (jpg, png, svg are the
best formats for that)

Thank you.

YoBoY
