Re: [twsocket] [OT] Nice forum engine based on the mailing list
Guys, I know most of you are fond of newsgroups and all that stuff, but no one tells you to stop using them. The resource I've found provides an additional forum-like interface for the maillist, with no efforts for the admins excepting first-time registration. You may continue using what you like while other people like me who are incompatible with newsgroubs could use what they like. P.S. It also saves from wrong topics and replying from other mail account what happens to me quite often. -- Anton -- To unsubscribe or change your settings for TWSocket mailing list please goto http://lists.elists.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/twsocket Visit our website at http://www.overbyte.be

As I already said a lot of times in the past, I don't want a newsgroup because I would loose control on the group. Re: [twsocket] [OT] Nice forum engine based on the mailing list
I would loose control on the group Loose control in what sense? My understanding is that the nabble service will just archive the mailling list, and preset it in a forum alike manner. Similar, but better, to the already available here http://www.archivum.info/twsocket@elists.org/ And in systems such as Google groups (and all the others, I suppose) you can set it up to moderate all the post, and new users registration. From the email interface work exactly as with the elists, but has a better web interface. -- To unsubscribe or change your settings for TWSocket mailing list please goto http://lists.elists.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/twsocket Visit our website at http://www.overbyte.be
Re: [twsocket] [OT] Nice forum engine based on the mailing list
Francois, could you just open main page of that resource and read? It's not something new. It's just a front-end to twsocket@elists.org. It even doesn't use accounts from mail list - user must register separately. Just a damn simple front-end to make life easier. Of course, you're the overlord and everything about ICS is in your hands but I really don't see any reason to reject it. -- A.S.. -- To unsubscribe or change your settings for TWSocket mailing list please goto http://lists.elists.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/twsocket Visit our website at http://www.overbyte.be
