[Twisted-Python] Twisted Project Job Posting
Hello all, The Twisted issue tracker needs someone to pay attention to it for spam content and clean up that content. I've been taking care of this for a while now but I'm going to step back from this position soon. These days spam is primarily submitted as new tickets. When a spam ticket is filed, it needs to be deleted. There's a form in the trac web interface for deleting tickets. Access needs to be specially granted, so you need a trac account to volunteer for this role. Trac is configured with some automatic spam filtering software. It catches some, but obviously not all, spam submissions. The trac rss feed can be used to monitor new content for spam. Total time commitment for this job is pretty minimal (perhaps a few minutes a week) but timely action on spam is preferred. It's probably also possible for this responsibility to shared between multiple people (divided up however those people find works). I'll continue covering this role for another week but after that I'll stop - so please volunteer before then! Thanks, Jean-Paul ___ Twisted-Python mailing list Twisted-Python@twistedmatrix.com http://twistedmatrix.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/twisted-python
Re: [Twisted-Python] Twisted Project Job Posting
Hi exarkun, I'm happy to do this in my timezones (approx 02:00GMT to 16:00GMT), and I'm usually around. I'd also like to be able to reset passwords on trac -- there's been a few instances where people aren't able to reset their password and people with the power haven't been around. - hawkie > On 29 Mar 2015, at 00:22, exar...@twistedmatrix.com wrote: > > Hello all, > > The Twisted issue tracker needs someone to pay attention to it for spam > content and clean up that content. Re: [Twisted-Python] Twisted Project Job Posting
Hello Mr. exarkun! I would love to help out with this. I am from India. I have been making some beginner bitesized contributions to Twisted (you have reviewed and merged some of them) and I am looking forward to contribute in any way that I possibly can. Please let me know what you think! Also, I'll be coming to PyCon in Montreal this year and I hope to see you and learn from you there!
