[TOS] Another TOS Talk!!!

2022-11-10 Thread Heidi Ellis
Hi Folks,

4:00 PM Eastern Time, Tuesday November 15th

Our next TOS Time will be led by Jan Pearce from Berea College. Jan has
multiple years of experience both contributing to and helping
undergraduate students to contribute to Runestone Academy. Runestone is
a collection of interactive open source texts in the STEM area offering
a database backend that helps professors better help their students in a
number of easy ways. Jan will talk about Runestone Academy, her new
textbook on open source, open source contribution more generally, and on
teaching open source contribution to novices. The discussion questions
will include: What might you hope would go into such a textbook? What do
you see as the challenges?  What do you see as the opportunities?

Contact me (el...@wne.edu) if interested and I'll send a link to the
Zoom room.

Hope to see you next Wednesday!!
