Re: [toaster] toaster patch beta 4

2004-12-06 Thread Helio Nunes
Just tested it. To work around the pre-existence of vpopmail I just did a
normal installation (toaster 0.6) including vpopmail-5.4.8 and after
reinstalled qmail using this new patch instead of 0.61. I thought that this
was a mysql version but got complains about mysql limits.
I am using mysql auth and vpopmail. How can I proceed to get everything
running using mysql as databasis support.
Thanks
Helio Nunes

In our production installation we are using toaster 0.6 as is in
www.shupp.org/toaster plus maildrop-1.7.0 / tnef-1.2.3.1 /
qmail-scanner-1.24st / f-ptrot and also horde/imp as webmailsolution.

Thanks. I'm using above tcp.smtp line in our test Toaster and it looks is
working properly.
Qustion remaining. Is there place(s) where I could find all variables
applicable to toaster environment (Qmail and all toaster software)?

I could compile them but need first to know where they are.
Actually I am relatively new to Linux and related software, forgive my lack of
knowlege.
I tried to find then in each Toaster package docs but it seems that they are
obvious or well known that rarely are mentioned.
Syntax is something still less mentioned, probably because are obvious. I.E.
tcp.smtp lines could receive such variables but in no place in its
documentation are mentioned.

Thanks

I apreciate your point but as far as many people are using for instance
Bill's Toaster ( and some other few) at least with some fixed options and
some other very frequent (spamassassin, simscan, qmail-scan) for those,
specially for the newbies (like me) variable should be better understood and
compiled.

2005-07-12 Thread Helio Nunes
Hi
We have in our email server (standard qmail toaster last version). We sent a
communication to all our users ref Spam policy and got a few "Delivery Status
Notification Failure" with the following : Diagnosti-Code smtp;571 sorry,
you are violating our security policies (#5.7.1 - chkuser)

The user for witch such message returned are active and random.

Does anybody have any idea of what is going on?
Helio

[toaster] Safe move account/domain from one server to other

2005-07-14 Thread Helio Nunes
Hi
Does anyone know how could I move an entire domain from one server to other
without losing mail content and/or having permissions problems? I have in
both last Toaster version w/ MYSQL auth. Some users are using squirrelmail
and have some mail in it.
I tried to create same domain/accounts/passwords in the target server and
after copied from the origin to the target
server /home/vpopmail/domains/domain.com directory over the empty .
Some files under each user dir did not enherited the right permision. As far
as I had only 150 users I did it manually. Now I have to move a bigger
domain.
Thanks
Helio

[toaster] Toaster receives a blank test email

2005-07-19 Thread Helio Nunes
Just intalled a backup email server using last script version. Set it the
same way I did for the main server and for testing purpose just move one
domain to this new server. All mail sent to this new Toaster is received but
empty, no date, subject, with sender and of course To:
Additionally I set the options Spamassassin, Clamav, Ripmime and Simscan. All
Control files are the same and for SA the same .cf files
tcp.smtp set equal fpr both looks like that:
127.:allow,RELAYCLIENT="",CHKUSER_RCPTLIMIT="60",CHKUSER_WRONGRCPTLIMIT="3",QMAILQUEUE="/var/qmail/bin/simscan"
192.168.1.:allow,RELAYCLIENT="",CHKUSER_RCPTLIMIT="60",CHKUSER_WRONGRCPTLIMIT="3",QMAILQUEUE="/var/qmail/bin/simscan"
:allow,CHKUSER_RCPTLIMIT="60",CHKUSER_WRONGRCPTLIMIT="3",QMAILQUEUE="/var/qmail/bin/simscan"

Any hint?
Thanks

[toaster] Toaster sends a blank email

2005-07-20 Thread Helio Nunes

Just intalled a backup email server using last script version. Set it the
same way I did for the main server and for testing purpose just move one
domain to this new server.
All mail sent to this NEW Toaster is received, with sender and of course To: ,
but empty, no date, subject, no body.
Additionally ( Toaster) I set the optional software Spamassassin, Clamav,

All Control files are the same for both servers and for SA the same .cf files
tcp.smtp set equal for both looks like that:

127.:allow,RELAYCLIENT="",CHKUSER_RCPTLIMIT="60",CHKUSER_WRONGRCPTLIMIT="3",QMAILQUEUE="/var/qmail/bin/simscan"

192.168.1.:allow,RELAYCLIENT="",CHKUSER_RCPTLIMIT="60",CHKUSER_WRONGRCPTLIMIT="3",QMAILQUEUE="/var/qmail/bin/simscan"

Re: [toaster] Toaster sends a blank email

2005-07-21 Thread Helio Nunes
I have just discovered it: It was a permission under .spamassassin where bayes
lives...
I have tried put SPF off etc.
Probably you have a wrong permission somewhere that only reproduces the
problem when is execised.
Thanks anyway.
