[Talks] E6 Bel and mail app:

2012-05-08 Thread Srikanth Kanuri
hi all, i configured my mail app with my Gmail account. now whenever i
go in to my mail app and try to update by tapping on send and receive
tool bar icon, i get an error message "unable to connect check your
connection settings" even though i am connected to Y5. previously when
i am in Anna, i used to get a notification to select access point
while sending and receiving in the mail App if there is any problem
with connectivity. is there a way to re-enable that notification in
the mail app?

every time i need to go to connectivity and re-connect to y5 and then
come back to mail to perform account updates. any solutions please?

Re: [Talks] N79 v n85 v n86

2012-05-08 Thread Stephen Giggar

Jim

I in either case between the N79 and N85 don't see either one of them
receiving any updates from Nokia as far as software. It will be up to you
which one you get.

To be honest, I cannot really recall 6120. but N79 have rather flat
buttons
but with the guide of the 2 index on both side of number 5, a blind
person

should be able to use it with no problem.

So this is something a blind person can feel? Is it similar to the nokia
6120?

The N86 has dual speakers both on the right side of the phone. It is like
the N85 as far as it is a dual slider phone. The number 5 is easy to find.
Both the N85 and N86 have WiFi along with the N79 and N78. Both the N79
and
N78 are a candy bar stile phone. All the phone will take a memory card.
Out

of these four, the N86 also has a built in 8GB internal drive. All of them
will run Talks.

One thing to state about the N78. The speakers are offset. The right
speaker

is on the upper right side of the phone and the left speaker is on the
lower

left side of the phone. Also the number rows are a long bar. So 1, 2 and 3
are all part of the same bar. You just press the area for the number you
want. For example you would press the left side of the bar for 1 the
middle

for 2 and the right side for 3. In feeling the front of the N78 as far as
around the number area kind of reminds me of the N82. This is excluding
the

numbers.

The N79 is a candy bar phone while the N85 is a dual slider. Both of
these have the standard phone keypad. The N85 has wifi, stereo
speakers (I think), and the five key has the raised dot.

[Talks] The Ovi maps link

2012-05-08 Thread Haya Simkin & guide dog Pammy
Hello everyone. I tried the link someone posted for Ovi Maps the other day and
I couldn't find anything for Nokia e52. Where can I find that? Also, where can
I find up-to-date maps for Israel?

Updates aint always the answer though, especially when one doesn't care for
a touch screen phone
Can you name many phones left now with the normal number keypad that still
gets updates?
