One thing to state about the N78. The speakers are offset. The right speaker

Unfortunately none of these 4 models are being manufactured or sold by Nokia
for some time now. It is almost impossible to buy a new boxed phone from the 4
being discussed! I had even written to Nokia. They regretted that they just
could not help as all these models are outdated. :(

2012-05-07 Thread Srikanth Kanuri
hi, here is the solution:

1. open the text message field
2. open object viewer by talks long center combination
3. point to the fifth element which should say "Title 160 1" or "Focus 160 1"
4. open it with center button
5. navigate it to roll and activate it,
6. select action as ignore which is the last option there
7. exit from there
8. that's the end of it.

joy.

I would probably change it to status and not ignore. That away you could use
Talks long SoftKey2 to read how many characters are left.

[Talks] How do I turn off the camera light on the N82

2012-05-07 Thread ANDY COLLINS

Hi all -

For some reason, TALKS isn't reading the options within the camera app, so
can't find out how to sort my battery sapping issue. I have been told that
the red camera light is on all the time. Opening the shutter turns it off,
but obviously I don't want to leave the shutter open. I think this red
light is perhaps something to do with the camera flash. Thing is, I am only
getting about 10 hours battery life per charge, and believe it is this light
being on all the time that is draining the battery. Has anybody experienced
this? This is on an N82, so if anybody can tel me how to stop the camera
light staying on, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks -

Andy

Re: [Talks] N79 v n85 v n86

2012-05-07 Thread Kit
To be honest, I cannot really recall 6120. but N79 have rather flat buttons
but with the guide of the 2 index on both side of number 5, a blind person
should be able to use it with no problem.

So this is something a blind person can feel? Is it similar to the nokia
6120?

The N86 has dual speakers both on the right side of the phone. It is like
the N85 as far as it is a dual slider phone. The number 5 is easy to find.
Both the N85 and N86 have WiFi along with the N79 and N78. Both the N79 and
N78 are a candy bar stile phone. All the phone will take a memory card. Out
of these four, the N86 also has a built in 8GB internal drive. All of them
will run Talks.

One thing to state about the N78. The speakers are offset. The right speaker

is on the upper right side of the phone and the left speaker is on the lower

left side of the phone. Also the number rows are a long bar. So 1, 2 and 3
are all part of the same bar. You just press the area for the number you
want. For example you would press the left side of the bar for 1 the middle
for 2 and the right side for 3. In feeling the front of the N78 as far as
around the number area kind of reminds me of the N82. This is excluding the
numbers.
