Hi Pranav,
Tell us your experiences, what works and what doesn't work well. If you're
used to microsoft excel, unfortunatelly you will find that quicksheet is
much poorer and dificult to use. But if you have any success it will be nice
and useful for us to know about it.

Regards, Paulo

[Talks] Street names in nokia maps

2012-03-16 Thread Paulo Augusto
Hi listers,
I'm sorry I'm writing a lot but I think it's important.
I turned off the configuration to say the restaurants around and now nokia maps
is reading again the street names in my position. But every time I press an
arrow key I hear the name of the street 3, 4 or 5 times. Is there a way to hear
the name only once?
And is there a way to hear the name of the next crossing street? It's a useful
function that's available in loadstone but I don't know if you can do it with
nokia maps.

Subject: [Talks] Excel file could be read in e72 with quickoffice and talks

Hi listers,
I'd like to share a simple but usefull experience with talks.
I'm surprised to discover that quickoffice in e72 can read a xls file that I
had created to help me in the supermarket.
I have a column with the name of the products I want and another column with
the number of units I want.
For example,
chocolate 4
Soda 3
etc
It's nice to have the xls file instead of a txt file because in quicksheet
we can easily delete the items that we have already bought. I just press the
delete buttom.
The access to quicksheet with talks is not perfect and requires pacience,
method and training. In my experience I need to arrowup and down to read the
first column and always arrow right to read the second column.
It's not that I recomend you to use quicksheet for complex files and serious
subjects.
But it may be nice in simple occasions like when you need to use a
checklist.
If you have a different cell phone, please ask on the list about the
usability of quickoffice. Possibly or probably it doesn't work the same in
other devices.
And please don't trust my english. You should wait for an expert in talks
that also speaks english perfectly to confirm what I say. It's hard for me
to write in english and I'm just trying to help.

Sure, here it is: http://lists.talksusers.com/mailman/listinfo/talks

Note that it's also at the bottom of every post. It was also included in
the introductory message you got when you subscribed to the list. If you
don't already, you should get in the habit of saving these introductory
messages. I keep a separate folder just for them, so I can always easily
find them.

Also, as always, it's good to change the subject line to reflect your
question. Furthermore, it's even better to send a new message, instead
of responding to another message, when you want to start a new thread.
