Re: [Talks] latest talks files still unsure

2011-03-02 Thread Stephen Giggar

Jennifer

You do not just copy the file to the phone. You need to be using PC Suite to
do the install, or if you are using the phone! You need to use the file
manager to find the file on the phone and then press select on it. Then the
install will start and start asking you questions.

If you want single files like for the Talks installer only! You can go to
Talks Nav to the Nuance link, then download from our site, Then start
bigging down to get to the 3rd/5th Edition and then arrow down to the
Talks*.SISX file. At tis point, then you will only get that file. The D2Go
file is also there and as far as I can tell, it is the same file that is on
the blind sea web site.

hi all
i know there's already been discussion about this on list and i thought
i'd followed instructions correctly.

i downloaded the zip file "talks520_03".
i found 1.sys fiile with both daisy and talks in the title and installed
it to the phone. this has been installed to the same place as the previous
version in phone memory.

when I restarted the phone, the version running may still not be correct.
i'm advised the version currently running is talks premium 5.00.3.
not sure what i have done wrong here.

Hi!
I use pc suite to backup my phone.
Though its tricky with screenreaders.
I use nvda because its the best screenreader to use with pc
suite.
When you're on the pc suite icon on the systray right click
it and
select backup from there.
Now there will appeare some dialogboxes where you only have
to follow
the instructions to make it work properly.

take off the back cover. The memcard slot is just above the battery
compartment. If you have the phone with the bottom in your left hand
and the top in your right hand the card slot is just above the little
tray where you put the sim card on the side of the back of the phone
closest to your body. it lays flat and you just slide it in.

[Talks] FW: Sync Calendar to phone not working

2011-03-02 Thread John Farley
Hello list,

Despite spending a very long time on my PC to get this calendar sync working
I could not do it.

I then spent some time idly checking the calendar options on the C5.

I found what was, to me, a new view type on the calendar setting. It is
called Agenda View. Once I set this one I could then see the calendar
entries on the phone. So, they were there all the time.

Question for those who understand these things:
What is the Agenda View intended for and how is it different to the Day
View?

Thanks in Advance.

John,

Although not in Win 7 On occasion my auto sync does not launch when

and do not need to go back and adjust the settings.

Give it a try if you haven't already.

Hello list,

Is this a known problem?

I have the latest version of Nokia PC Suite on a Windows 7 PC connected to a
fairly new Nokia C5 with a USB cable.

I always sync my calendar and phone between the 2 devices I have done this
with every Nokia phone I have used, with no issues before this time.
.

I have checked the PC Suite Settings many times, and made minor changes to
it to try to kick it a bit, but to no effect.

The phone contacts sync as expected, but the calendar items do not sync at
all.

Any clues please?

Ramy,

"And what are those other files? Please I need urgent help"

Have no idea. Have you tried turning your phone off then on and then looking
to see if those "other files" are still there?
