Re: [sword-devel] Borland project updates

2003-01-27 Thread Daniel Glassey
Thanks Chris :)
I've committed the bigger changes that change the biblecs app to
mostly use tnt controls so it'll need checked again.
I added a BCB6 project to /lib/bcppmake since it is a different file
format and needs an extra define.
I called it libsword6icu to indicate that it is for BCB6 and uses
icu. Does that sound like a reasonable naming standard and if so
could you rename the BCB5 one to libsword5icu? I not, I think we
should come up with some kind of naming standard so please suggest
other ideas.

Regards,
Daniel

Check the list archive some weeks back. The package maintainer gave some
info. Thread: "List of Questions..."

Cool, I'll take a look & see if anything requires patching up for BCB5.

In my opinion, we should make directories under bcppmake called
bcb5/bcb6/  I made a vcppmake/vc6 directory for VC++ 6.0 project files
with the intention of making a vc7 some day according to the same
principle. I just modified the existing libsword project since that's
where Troy had put it and what he had named it.

Blessings,
Chris

I don't know. Maybe never? :)

WinCE is a really horrid environment to try to port real software to.
There might be more libraries available now to help with the porting
process. I know there's a free STL port for WinCE now, which was one of
the major shortcomings.

Honestly, though, if someone else felt like taking over this project, I
wouldn't be hurt. :)

[sword-devel] Copyright Coordinator

2003-01-27 Thread Troy A. Griffitts
Jonathan Hughes has done a great job for past couple years being the
point man for coordinating contact with copyright holders and the
information needed to do such.

Jonathan has decided to step down from this role and move on to more
great things that the Lord will call him to.

I'll be routing [EMAIL PROTECTED] to the sword-support list, so if
you have an interest in helping in this area, please consider
subscribing to the sword-support email volunteer list by sending an
email to:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] (yes, it's still on majordomo, for now)

with the body of the message containing:

subscribe sword-support

If you get a chance, please let Jonathan know how much he has been
appreciated for all his time and sacrifice: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

And pray God leads him to new and great tasks for His Kingdom.

	-Troy.

Re: [sword-devel] Copyright Coordinator

2003-01-27 Thread Jonathan Hughes
Hey Guys,

Thanks Troy! I want to just tell everyone how great it has been working
with you guys here at The SWORD Project and CrossWire and all of you
that have worked hard on side projects. So many wonderful people that I
have gotten to know a little bit through working with them on this
project. It has been a pleasure that perhaps one day I will write a book
about, perhaps titled, "The SWORD Project: How a group of volunteers
turned the Bible study software industry upside down." :)

Thanks for everyones support and hard work...who would need a Copyright
Coordinator if there wasn't a software package that went out to so many
users.

Thanks,
Jonathan Hughes
