If I try to filter on "Assigned to", only "Any", "None", "wl", and
"bgarrigues" appear.

These are two former maintainers of _groff_ (one of those, as of a few hours
ago).

I'm the new maintainer, and while sad that I don't show up yet, the bigger
problem is that we routinely assign tickets to contributors who are not
maintainers.

Can this be fixed, please?

As a "technician" and "manager" of the _groff_ bug tracker, I am accustomed to
being able to update the Category/Status/etc. fields of tickets.

I seem to have lost this power.

Also, the web UI is no longer _telling_ me that I am a "technician" or
"manager".

Please advise.

My technician/manager notice have come back, along with my field-editing
powers.

If a Savannah admin _didn't_ do anything deliberate to cause this, I thought
you should know.

Hmm, and now my powers to change Open/Closed and "Assigned to" just went away.
 But the others remain.

I have committed new versions of the Texinfo manuals for the Texinfo webpages,
but after I run "cvs commit", the following lines are printed:

Triggering webpages update...
Too Many Requests

Some of the pages are updated but some aren't.

According to https://savannah.gnu.org/maintenance/HomepageUpload/, I should
post here if this happens.

"Exception: large updates, involving either many updates or many megabytes,
may not be fully completed. Unfortunately, there is no warning when this
happens (Savannah does not receive any information from the backend FSF
machines), it's just that some files may not be present. If you notice this,
the thing to do is submit a new ticket at Savannah support tracker."

Would you be able to fix it please?

[sr #111120] Update Texinfo webpages

2024-09-07 Thread Bob Proulx
Follow-up Comment #1, sr #20 (group administration):

Michael, This problem can be reproduced on wildebeest1p itself using this
command.

rwp@wildebeest1p:~$ curl http://www.gnu.org/new-savannah-project/new.py -s -F
type=gnu -F project=texinfo
Too Many Requests

(This command is IP range restricted. For those that try it from home it will
either be blocked by the anti-abuse or it will be blocked by the IP range
restriction. It's only useful from the LAN system or localhost which is
itself an anti-abuse tactic.)

Gavin, I manually triggered the machinery behind the scenes to update texinfo
web pages in order to make your recent updates visible.

I twice tried to reply to https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/index.php?66143 via
email, and nothing showed up either time.

This was working 24 hours ago or so.
