Details:

Hi Maintainers,
This morning, something is wrong about the GLOBAL's repository.
There are two problems:

1. Update command does not work.

[in my local directory]
$ cvs update
cvs update: Updating .
cvs [update aborted]: cannot stat /var/lock/cvs/sources/global: No such file
or directory

2. There are differences between my local directory and the repository.

It seems that recent updates have been lost in the repository.

[get the latest files]
$ cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonym...@cvs.savannah.gnu.org:/sources/global co global
cvs checkout: warning: failed to open /Users/owner/.cvspass for reading: No
such file or directory
cvs2 checkout: Updating global
...
$ diff ChangeLog [my local directory]/ChangeLog

Thank you in advance.

Follow-up Comment #1:

Thank you very much for the report. You are the second report of this problem
and therefore I have been working to understand and resolve the problem today.
 I am just now understanding it and I am working on it at this time.

No commits have been permanently lost. However through an error in data
sync'ing during a previous service migration there were 18 projects with
unsync'd data. This is one of those 18.

I am very close to having a resolution and will post another update as soon as
this is done. Obviously I want to keep moving before the problem becomes
bigger. Thank you for your understanding while I continue to scramble madly.

Follow-up Comment #2, sr #109712 (project administration):

I reviewed "global" to carefully make sure no commits had been lost. I
determined that yes the version from nfs1 did contain commits not present in
the current production repository. I carefully sync'd the CVS data for it
forward just now. I think project "global" is good to go.

Please try again and review the current state of "global" and let me know if
things are good for it.

(Only 16 more projects for me to go through in order to finish resolving this
problem.)
