Follow-up Comment #1:

Yes the address associated is at lavabit.com and obviously inaccessible now.
But this creates a problem for us. How can we protect your identity if any
anonymous user can ask us to change the email address of any of the
inaccessible email accounts? As a lavabit user I assume you are concerned
about this, technically savvy, and will appreciate the problem. We must verify
your identity. I am sure you can appreciate this.

I always recommend everyone upload a gpg key to the web site. That way we can
verify your identity using it. But it appears that you do not have a gpg key.
Neither on the web site nor otherwise.

Fortunately you do have two projects that you should be able to commit to
using your registered ssh keys. One of them is a git project. That will be
perfect.

The simplest way would be to create a branch on plogger that you should still
have access to using your ssh keys. Commit and upload the branch to the web
site. No need to do anything to the main master branch. Create an "authme"
branch. That will verify that you are you, the owner of the project, and then
I can safely change the email address so that you can recover your password. I
will remove the authme branch afterward since it will no longer be needed
then. But it will be perfect to verify your identity.

Sound good?

[savannah-help-public] [sr #109101] Additional git repo for Adonthell and descriptions

2016-07-24 Thread Bob Proulx
Update of sr #109101 (project administration):

Follow-up Comment #1:

I have updated your descriptions. Thanks for submitting those. It is good to
have the descriptions updated but unfortunately there is no self-service way
of doing it.

Additional repositories are no problem. Usually they will be placed in a
sub-directory under your main directory.

Do you want:

  adonthell/adonthell-wastesedge.git

Or do you want:

  adonthell/wastesedge.git

You can see our admin notes for this here:

  http://savannah.gnu.org/maintenance/Git/

Since you asked for adonthell-wastesedge.git that is what I created but it is
a simple move if you want the other. Please let me know.

It looks like you are switching from CVS to GIT? Would you like me to put in a
disable hook to your CVS repository that directs people over to the git
repository? So that people know that the CVS one is no longer the current one?

2016-07-24 Thread Bob Proulx
Follow-up Comment #4, sr #109047 (project administration):

The script we are using to send commmit messages is the one from
https://github.com/git-multimail/git-multimail . That one works the best of
the various ones we have seen so far. If you think there is a better one then
I am happy to switch you over to it. Or if you want to suggest a different
configuration that is fine too.

Thank Bob,

Thanks for taking care of protecting users identity.

Fortunately enough, after trying some old passwords I had yet in my mind I was
able to access my account. I have already updated my email.

Thanks a lot!
