Details:

Hello!

Would it be possible to create a commit mailing list for Guile's Git
repository?

Long ago, in the CVS times, there was a `guile-cvs' mailing list (it
apparently stopped working in 2004).

Thanks,
Ludo'.

[Savannah-help-public] [sr #106436] avoid refill of trackers form when mandatory field is missing

2009-04-06 Thread Eric NOULARD

Follow-up Comment #2, sr #106436 (project administration):

I have tried it on patches and bugs
it works as expected. The missing fields are signaled and
other are kept (or refilled but I don't care).

Thank you very much for that it will save me time.

Follow-up Comment #1, sr #106709 (project administration):

Hi Ludovic,

I suggest you create (or reuse) a mailing list and let me know its name, so I
can tell guile.git where it can send mail notifications.

[Savannah-help-public] [sr #106700] Page statistics/log files? revisited

2009-04-06 Thread Sylvain Beucler

Follow-up Comment #8, sr #106700 (project administration):

Hi,

For awstats I think you need to disable the DNS lookups (check
/root/infra/download.txt for more information about the current awstats setup,
btw), it will quicken the processing.

A problem with this method is that not all reports can be generated (e.g.
only those that support the :filter syntax).

We don't have a special setup with mirror maintainers: they synchronize the
download area using rsync access, which is available to everybody. How to get
their logs is something to decide. You might want to ask webmast...@gnu.org if
by any chance they did something for ftp.gnu.org mirrors.

For sysad...@gnu.org this should be easier because they have access to
Savannah and could rsync files nightly (for example).

Follow-up Comment #9, sr #106700 (project administration):

Speaking as one of the gnu.org webmasters, I can tell you we have never made
any attempt to get logs (or anything else) from the mirror maintainers. We're
just happy when they work :).

It would be wonderful if Savannah could accept follow-ups by email, instead
of requiring posting through the web. I'd much rather compose in Emacs than a
web form. Not to mention speed.

I have only vague ideas on how to avoid spam getting through, but it seems
like it could be done.

I wonder if any other forges have already done this.

Sorry that I don't have the wherewithal to do it myself.
