[sage-devel] problem building pyscipopt

2023-02-04 Thread 'Martin R' via sage-devel
I built sage 9.8.rc0 from scratch, and then did ./sage -i pyscipopt, but
this failed. The log is attached.

I get the same result with 9.8.beta7 (but I did not build it from scratch).

The puzzle is that I believe I had SCIP already working.

I do not understand the error message at all:

error: Command "gcc -Wsign-compare -DNDEBUG -g -fwrapv -O3 -Wall
-Wno-unused -g -O2 -g -O2 -fPIC -I/home/martin/sage-trac/local/include
-I/home/martin/sage-trac/local/var/lib/sage/venv-python3.11.1/include/python3.11

-c src/pyscipopt/scip.c -o
build/temp.linux-x86_64-cpython-311/src/pyscipopt/scip.o" failed with exit
status 1

This is relatively urgent for me :-(

1) there is something funny with search - it it because it's still not done?

https://github.com/sagemath/sage/issues?q=is%3Aissue+strongly+regular+is%3Aopen

gives

 5 Open 71 Closed

No results matched your search.

so there are 5 open issues, but they are not shown. (searching for
closed ones seems to work)

2) GitHub nathanncohen is a real GitHub account, not a mannequin - and
it corresponds to Trac's ncohen just fine.

one reason for this is probably that it takes extra bandwidth and CPU
to get and render.
Besides, it might be more useful in many cases to keep them folded.

By the way, GitHub markdown allows one to manually hide parts (using
 html tag)

In https://github.com/sagemath/trac-to-github/issues/110, we actually hope

There is no reason for "real" github accounts to be marked as mannequins.

IIRC, when Python.org made a move to GitHub, they only mapped to mannequins
old accounts of people for whom they didn't know a corresponding GutHub account.
(we map such accounts to "sagetrac-").
But here we do know.
Whether the account owner accepts an invite to be on a sagemath org
team, is quite an orthogonal issue.

No, you are mistaken.

An org can only create issues & comments in the name of its members, not
arbitrary GitHub users.
Which is why the invites had to be sent out and accepted.

Re: [sage-devel] Re: Colours

FWIW: I've observed a similar behavior (see this post

was using Firefox with a markdown plugin. In the preview, MD rendered
correctly (I used quotes (">") and inline code ("`") tags). After posting,
MD was removed and the quoted line appeared in red.
