Rietveld analysis on layer silicates

1999-03-25 Thread Roger Mason

Hi,

I am interested in doing Rietveld work on layer silicates (especially
pyrophyllite at the moment). I anticipate that there may be some problems
in dealing with stacking disorder and different kinds of ordered stacking
sequences when developing a structural model for analysis.

Being new to Rietveld I am wondering if anyone has worked on this problem.

Thanks,

Roger Mason

gsas in dos & UNIX

1999-11-08 Thread Roger Mason

hello,

Does anyone know if it is possible to use the same *.EXP file on dos &
UNIX (Linux) machines?

If so, what changes must be made to the file?

Thanks in advance,

Roger Mason

weight fractions in GSAS .LST file

1999-01-16 Thread Roger Mason

Hello,

Firstly, thanks to those who answered my question about exchanging files
between the UNIX & DOS versions of GSAS.

Now I have more questions:

How do I get GSAS to report weight fractions & their uncertainties in a
.LST file? Having just completed some work on 4 samples I find that the
wt fractions have been calculated from the scale factors for some
samples but not others.

Also, how can I get GSAS to provide estimated uncertainties in the wt
fractions?

(I am aware that a microabsorption correction is not included in GSAS).

Thanks,

Roger Mason

DRAWxtl

2000-06-01 Thread Roger Mason

Hi,

Has anyone on the list used DRAWxtll? Perhaps you could contact me off
line.

I'm having some trouble and neither of the authors is reachable.

Thanks,

Roger Mason

Thanks to all who replied, especially Larry Finger & Martin Kroeker. All
is now working well.

structure factors from GSAS

2000-06-22 Thread Roger Mason

Hi,

Does anyone know how to obtain a list of structure factors from GSAS
calculated from the starting model, and without any corrections?

Thanks,

Roger Mason
