Re: [RE-wrenches] Enphase Gateway causing lamp to flicker

2023-12-12 Thread John Blittersdorf via RE-wrenches
My guess is that the lamp is too sensitive. I find that the cheapest LED
bulb from home depot flicker whether using inverter power or generator
power. All other LEDs in the house work fine. Like a fool, I keep buying
the cheap ones. I totally agree with Andrew " While I can understand the
need to placate clients, the days of solar martyrdom needs to end! "
Being in the darkest time of year, I spend way too much time placating.

[RE-wrenches] Mate 3s with legacy FX inverters

2023-12-12 Thread Todd Cory via RE-wrenches

Wrenches,

I am receiving conflicting information about using a Mate 3s with legacy FX
inverters. Has anyone done this and was the 3s able to function correctly?

Thanks,

Todd

I think it depends on the firmware/age on the FX and the software revision on
the Mate3s.. Talk to Chris at Outback if you can.

Darren Emmons who designed the Mate 3S says that when he left OB, it
DID work with those older products.

So, unless they changed something, it should still work with legacy
inverters etc.

We have numerous systems, with no programing or Mate display issues,
however the oldest FX series wont display correctly on Optics RE and wont
allow remote programability through Optics RE.

2023-12-12 Thread Jay via RE-wrenches
Agreed to all said. Numerous systems with mate 3/3s and every inverter and stacking is all fine. New hub 10:3 required. MX CC don’t appear on the mate 3/s. Few of my systems are on optics so can’t comment on that. JayOn Dec 12, 2023, at 1:15 PM, Roland Shackelford via RE-wrenches wrote:We have numerous systems, with no programing or Mate display issues, however the oldest FX series wont display correctly on Optics RE and wont allow remote programability through Optics RE.Roland ShackelfordPresident / Owner NABCEP PVIP #091209-162O 808.775.7410 | M 808.938.9239 | 45-487 Lehua St Honokaa, HI 96727Power Solutions for Generations Renewable Energy Services, Inc."
