[RE-wrenches] Solaredge Storedge backup operation

2020-08-21 Thread Mac Lewis
Hi Wrenches,

Is this article correct when it states that the solar modules will shut
down in the event of a power outage with the Storedge system?

https://www.solaris-shop.com/blog/hybrid-solar-systems-what-you-need-to-know/

That seems like a pretty weak offering if that's true. It seems to
contradict Solaredge documentation.

Thanks

Only if you turn off the disconnect on the inverter or the inverter itself,
otherwise all will remain active.

[RE-wrenches] Don Harris

2020-08-21 Thread Michael Welch
Hi gang. Any questions, contact me off-list.

Pioneer hydro-maniac Don Harris had to abandon his home and shop this week due
to the Santa Cruz fire complex. He's 90% sure he lost it all, because when he
left burning embers were falling all around.

Anyway, he'd love to hear from his friends, it would help keep his spirits up
-- though he sounded good when I talked to him yesterday.

If you want to be in touch, contact me off list for his phone number. Thanks to
Jay Peltz for the heads up on this.
