Re: [RE-wrenches] Covering modules

2018-01-08 Thread MiJo Nels
I agree with everyone's sentiment, I always felt a little insulted
reading manufacturer's manuals and being told that covering modules was
enough. It isn't. . . . Remove load. . .Open circuit in as many places as
you have to. . hahahaha.

Hi All, happy holidays.

I’m looking for any studies or data about the dangers of “covering modules”
and assuming they are safe to work on.

I have a group that I think is going to need some harder data than me
telling them it’s not safe.

Thanks

Jay

[RE-wrenches] for all you Aquion installers

2018-01-08 Thread Tump
http://aquionenergy.com/faqs/
We are coming out with the new improved, latest and greatest Aquion but if you
are a former customer you are SCREWED. The ultimate in customer service and
confidence. Should inspire lots of new buyers!

Can I call you about supporting the old product?
Unfortunately Aquion Energy can no longer support the old product in any way
(phone, email, in person). While this is unfortunate, Aquion no longer has the
resources or tools to do so.
What is the status of the warranty on my old batteries?
All of the warranties on existing Aquion products are now void.

[RE-wrenches] GENERAC EcoGen 6kw problem

2018-01-08 Thread David Palumbo
I am troubleshooting a 6kw EcoGen LP gas generator in my neighborhood that
starts quickly
• but immediately shuts down with an “Under Voltage” shutdown alarm
• I can clear shutdown alarm and restart with same result. I tried this a few
times with same result. One of the start attempts included a back fire before
shutting down.
• Generator was recently run successfully for a few hours during a cold snap.
Started after several attempts at -10 F.
• According to the EcoGen manual this Under Voltage alarm is triggered “If the
generator voltage falls below 85% of nominal for more than 15 seconds”. This
definitely isn’t happening as the generator starts as usual but shuts down
within one or two seconds.
I will check for fouled spark plugs tomorrow. Anything else that might be the
problem?

I remember seeing something similar, but can't remember fix.. Might
have been low / wrong oil.. Maybe bad sensor.. Loose connection? maybe
bad board.. Might want to check fuses.. Could be a sticky reg.. might
be out of gas.. I have it on good authority 'The knees are not always
the first to go'.. Good Luck.
