2014-02-10 Thread clipsnstaps
To take barons and mt. bike brakes.

I also have some Nitto Drops, like new on a bike for years that was not
ridden much and then, well the women I was seeing and I split so the bike

[RBW] FS: Rivendell Road, Joe Stark Built, 56cm with 56cm TT, built, light use

2014-10-06 Thread clipsnstaps

Rivendell Road Custom

Joe Stark Built

This is the very first Joel Green Rivendell built. I ordered this and let
Grant pick the color, the next time the color was used was by another
customer named Joel, hence the name. Grant also has or had a Joel Green
Rivendell.

It is a 56cm frame with a 56cm TT (unusual for Rivendell. I was at
Rivendell and Grant measured me for this bike). It is a very comfortable
bike to ride handles great, looks great, it is a Rivendell. Selling because
I have not ridden it since a car accident (not with the bike) in June 2010
and I just don’t know if I will ever be able to ride it again.

The bike needs a good cleaning, it has been in the basement unused for over
4 years. Other than that it is perfect in all ways.

A couple of scratches but really not many.

Low miles

Here are some of the parts on the bike

All of the Suntour parts were NOS when the build was done

Albatross Bars

Suntour Bar End shifters

Brooks B68, honey

Plastic Fenders

Cyclone Rear D

Cyclone Long Reach Breaks

Superb Pro hubs

Mavic MA2 rims

TA Zepher triple (I got the last two in the country from what I was told)
The pics make it look scratched, this is dirt and dust, just wiped a part
down, looks almost new…. I suspect this will be the case with many of the
pics, over 4 years without being touched.

Font rings probably 48/38/28 I can check if needed

Nitto Cages

Nitto Stem (techmatic I think it was called, the longest one available at
the time)

Nitto Seat Post

Campy Pedals (the ones that sell for over $80 a set) These show wear,
scratches but VG condition, work well.

Sachs or Suntour FW, probably 13-26

Rear Rack, inexpensive but works well

Tires are 28mm, I think Roly Poly Panaracer

Suntour XC Pro brake handles

Bar Tape is shellaced

Pics

You may have to cut and paste this link, pictures of the bike.

Please ask any questions.

Please let me know if pricing is wrong, I looked on ebay and priced in
lower than anything sold on there, and what I saw did not look this good or
have components equal to this one.

Thanks

[RBW] FS: Rivendell All Rounder, mid to late '90's, 53.5cm

2014-05-28 Thread clipsnstaps
I bought the frame new from Rivendell, it has been there for awhile as it
was, I was told a prototype, but I am not sure I believe that. It is that
special metallic Blue that Grant Petersen was so very fond of. The bike
does not have many miles, I rode it a bit with mustache bars then Albatross
Bars, putting drops on for a past girlfriend. The bike has not been ridden
in over 7 years. I did a quick clean up, took pics and I will post a link.
The scratches and pits look bigger than they are as I used a macro setting
on the camera to get them into focus and visible. The bike is in great
condition, no rust anywhere. Mostly Suntour parts, Phil hubs, I think a
phil BB, Nitto Stem and seat post, SKS pedals, Sugino Crank, the rear d I
believe was used, all other parts were either NEW or NOS. This bike was
purchased NEW, never used or built up from Rivendell, it has under 1,000
miles on it. I has been hanging for the past 7 or so years, wheels are
Mavic 217, Panaracer tires. Size 53.5cm.

Rivendell bicycles are handbuilt with a relaxed geometry, more of a retro
style. The bottom Bracket is lower than on most bikes so where you might
ride a 51cm on some you may ride a 53 or so on a Rivendell. My main
Rivendell is a 56cm but this TT clearance is about the same.

Please cut and past URL into browser for pics.

http://s60.photobucket.com/user/guitone/media/Riv%20AR/ARFrontside_zps97ce4ebb.jpg.html

Shipping extra, I will have it professionally boxed, would like to sell
complete or near complete, do not want to break down and have to sell all
parts separately. I cannot ride this bike anymore, maybe none after 2 back
surgeries but this is the first to be put up for sale and maybe the most
desirable as these are hard to find. This one is a beauty.

If interested please email me at the address below. I tried to post this
the other day but I never saw it come up. Thanks.

Thanks

Re: [RBW] How many Rivendell bicycles have you owned?

2012-11-15 Thread clipsnstaps

I have owned 8, started with a custom that was 53 CM and too small, got an
allrounder, also too small (I still have that one). Bought a Ram but it was
too big and a Saluki and the TT was too long.

Got a 54cm and that too was too small...now I have in addition to my AR 3
RIvendells that fit perfectly ,a 56cm custom and 2 Bleriots (55cm). I am
not sure if I will continue to ride these due to 2 back surgeries and not
being on any of them for a long time.

[RBW] Sidi Touring Shoes (lace up, not for clipless)

2012-11-15 Thread clipsnstaps
These are the ones that Rivendell used to sell. They are brand new, size
45, NOS with box. I have them on ebay and if I can sell them here $175 plus
shipping. Please email me directly at jrster...@gmail.com

Thanks

Box included unless you want me to just ship in a medium sized priority
box. Not sure how much shipping is until I know where you are and if you
want the original box that is also in as new condition.

I had to remove the image as it is too large, so email me and I can send
pics to you directly.

Will consider parting out the Riv Road, would like to sell the Bleriot as is
The Bleriot was ridden about 5-10 times(in perfect condition) before I was in a
bad car accident in 2010 and has not been ridden since
The road has more miles, in excellent condition, a few paint chips, etc but
nothing bad.

I really cannot stand to see these just stay in the basement, too nice and need
to be ridden. Thanks, Joel
