Thank you. That seems like too much for a repaired frame that’s still
unpainted.

[RBW] Re: FS Items - NIB Rims, Wheelset, Shifters, Brakes etc

2023-04-20 Thread Ryan
Not in the market or anything but just saying those Ambrosio wheels with
the Record hubs are classic and that is really a good price. They would be
excellent wheels for a single-speed project and I'm sure they will clean up
nicely.

I have a pair of 36-hole Ambrosio rims w Record hubs that were redished for
my PX-10 SS in 2011. Still spin smoothly still true and have held up really
well on our rough Winnipeg roads forover 30 years

Re: [RBW] Re: FS: Rene Herse Snoqualmie Pass 700x44, Vintage White Industries/Sugino Crankset

2023-04-20 Thread Stephanie A.
This might be a silly question. Is it possible to swap out the crank arms
to 165? Every available White Industries triple I can find online is a 175.
It's not clear to me whether new White Industries arms in 165 or 170 are
available and would work. I know 5 or 10mm seems like nothing.

Stephanie (who is interested but not 6' tall...yet)

PM sent about the shifters.

Those Suntour XC seatposts are great. If you have a 27.2 seat tube and
don't need tons of setback I recommend. Great adjustment, lightweight. Good
price, too.

[RBW] Re: FS Items - NIB Rims, Wheelset, Shifters, Brakes etc

2023-04-20 Thread Mike Godwin
Hi Ryan, et al
Yes, in fact the rig I picked up was a SS - Bianchi Speciallisimo (1981)
with a Tange Prestige aftermarket fork. I went a different direction with
that project, the wheels remain, and the crankset too listed above. The
rear was spun by a Shimano single freewheel.

*Suntour seat post and Suntour shifters claimed.*

*Campagnolo GS Strada* crank and 45 t ring, 144 bcd, 170 arms, 9/16 pedal
threads $50 shipped

*No-name 32 hole fix-free hub*, nice nuts. $20 shipped.

*DA BS-77 bar end shifters*, 8-9 spd index and friction. Detents in 4-5
range don't click, $40 shipped.

*Dia Compe Royal Gran Compe* brakes, 47-57 mm reach, Yokuzuna pads,
recessed mount, $50 shipped.

*Pacenti Forza Classico *rim set NIB, 32 hole 622 dia, asymmetric rear,

*Campagonolo Record hub Ambrosio wheelset*, LF, 32 hole, new world logo,
126/100 OLN. Ambrosio rims are Extra Aero Dynamic Durex, 14 g Asahi ss
spokes, brass nipples and nipple washers. Spin smooth and straight. $120
shipped.

These are the 48cm wide silver nitto losco handlebars in excellent shape
(almost new). Only selling because I wanted to (and did) replace them with
a black variant. IMO the best looking of the sweptback bars and my favorite
for Roadini, Gallop, Hillbornes. Lightweight aluminum. $50 plus $20

[RBW] FS: Blue Lug work hat

2023-04-20 Thread James M
Sending this one back into the world. I bought it from J J, also tried it
on once, and also decided it wasn't for me. It's a cool hat though. I
even tried to convince my teenager that it would look good on her, but to
no avail. Selling for the same $58 (shipped) that I bought it for. Photo
below is a snip from J J's thread, I'll post a real photo tonight.

So, just to get this straight... did the previously proposed
weekend of May 12-14th not work well enough for everyone? I was not
 going
to be free that weekend, but if it's looking like a July date might be
better for more people, then I may just be able to make that happen.

Gary,
There's a Cheviot on the Portland, Oregon Craigslist, though it's listed as
small/medium rather than a specific measurement.

Hi Pam! So glad you’re interested and hope you can make it. We will
certainly have lots of options ride-wise but haven’t nailed anything down
yet. Certainly lots of road and greenway options. Some of the gravel fire
roads are pretty mellow too. And we’ll definitely have time built in pre
and post ride for socializing, and I love your idea of a swap/sale/trade
opportunity. Maybe we could even let folks post what they are thinking
about bringing to make it more interesting.
