I hope so, as it's the link I used ;-) It's got a similar description,
the same location, and the time is roughly the same (+/- 30 minutes
anyway). (For a bit of added excitement, the address is one that the
Royal Mail claims does not exist.)

I know - unfortunately the person who normally generates the URL has
been on leave for the last 2 weeks and none of the 4 people who are
looking after his function had worked out how to generate a URL for the
meeting.

( I would have replied yesterday but my Internet was down; as Harry has
noted they have since made one available ).

Cheers,
Anand

You need to speak to awesomely talented Steve Hawkes (cc'd).

Hope you're enjoying the Minnesota weather... ;-)

Alternatively, why not create a PyComic (Steve was also involved in the
design of this rather bonkers project). Nothing says "take me seriously"
like a comic...

Hi Harry,

Yes - it is. I've updated the meetup page now that they've managed to
generate the URL for us.

Thanks,
Anand

[python-uk] repurposing python-uk artwork

2016-01-31 Thread Jonathan Hartley
Is the fantastic PyCon UK artwork of recent years licensed such that I
could re-use it for my own purposes?

I've set up a new Python meetup group in my new homeland of Rochester,
Minnesota, USA. I'm going to distribute flyers to promote the group in
local colleges and the like. Since the very best Python related artwork
I've ever seen is the PyCon UK graphics of the last few years, I'd love
to re-use that and just plaster my own text on top, along the lines of
"come to our local Python meetup!"

If this is allowed, where could I get it?

  Jonathan
