Installing cryprography with pip on FreeBSD 12
Hi all, did anybody succeed, installing cryptography with pip (in venv) on Python3.7 and FreeBSD12 ? - - - Building wheel for cryptography (pyproject.toml) ... error ERROR: Command errored out with exit status 1: command: /usr/local/bin/python3.7 /usr/local/lib/python3.7/site-packages/pip/_vendor/pep517/in_process/_in_process.py build_wheel /tmp/tmp9kckvn6t - - - Setting up the rust toolchain, so that it can build cryptography is a challenge. Has anybody a workaround to let pip succeed building wheel? Any chances with other python versions? Ports with version numbers going backwards: databases/pecl-cassandra, devel/...
** The following ports have a version number that sorts before a previous one ** For many package tools to work correctly, it is of utmost importance that version numbers of a port form a monotonic increasing sequence over time. Refer to the FreeBSD Porter's Handbook, 'Package Naming Conventions' for more information. Tools that won't work include pkg_version, portupgrade and portaudit. A common error is an accidental deletion of PORTEPOCH. Please fix any errors as soon as possible.
