Ports with version numbers going backwards: devel/py-pytest, devel/py-pytest...
** The following ports have a version number that sorts before a previous one ** For many package tools to work correctly, it is of utmost importance that version numbers of a port form a monotonic increasing sequence over time. Refer to the FreeBSD Porter's Handbook, 'Package Naming Conventions' for more information. Tools that won't work include pkg_version, portupgrade and portaudit. A common error is an accidental deletion of PORTEPOCH. Please fix any errors as soon as possible. The ports tree was updated at Fri Dec 3 2021 12:30:00 UTC. - *devel/py-pytest* : py38-pytest-4.6.11 < py38-pytest-6.2.4 - *devel/py-pytest-flask* : py38-pytest-flask-0.15.1 < py38-pytest-flask-1.2.0 - *devel/py-pytest-translations* : py38-pytest-translations-2.0.0 < py38-pytest-translations-3.1.0 - *devel/py-pytest-xdist* : py38-pytest-xdist-1.32.0 < py38-pytest-xdist-2.3.0 - *japanese/mozc-el* : ja-mozc-el-2.23.2815.102.01_1 < ja-mozc-el-emacs27-2.23.2815.102.01_5 (master: japanese/mozc-server) - *security/vaultwarden* : vaultwarden-1.22.2_4 < vaultwarden-1.23.0_4 - *x11/wayland-logout* : wayland-logout-1.3 < wayland-logout-1.4
[Bug 260190] finance/chiapos: Update to 1.0.6
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=260190 Kubilay Kocak changed: What|Removed |Added CC||python@FreeBSD.org, ||ris...@stdio.com Keywords||needs-patch, needs-qa Summary|finance/chiapos patch to|finance/chiapos: Update to |bring port from 1.0.3 to|1.0.6 |version 1.0.6 | Flags||maintainer-feedback?(risner ||@stdio.com) --- Comment #1 from Kubilay Kocak --- ^Triage: Please set the maintainer-approval attachment flag (to +) on patches for ports you maintain to signify approval. Attachment -> Details -> maintainer-approval [+] Review items: Upstream appears to have released 1.0.7 [1], which adds 3.10 support. Accordingly, USES=python: should be scoped to match supported Python versions in the current chiapos port version (3.7-3.9) as a separate commit (and merged) prior to the version update (bumping to 3.7-3.10 for second commit, please update patch) For the following changes in setup.py: -tests_require=["pytest"], -ext_modules=[CMakeExtension("chiapos", ".")], removing tests_require shouldn't be necessary, and for the latter change, can that be replaced with removing the bundled chiapos sources? I reversed the removal of the tests_require line. However you bring up a good point. Do I even need the setup.py file in this port? Should I remove the entire file? I could update the patch to delete setup.py. I left the file and edited some things previously because it annoyed me they typed the project name in the setup.py file. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
