Switch on colour coding in syntax editor
Hi, I am new to PSPP and saw on my friends computer that commands and notes in the syntax editor appeared in different colours (e.g. labels in pink, notes in blue, commands in red). I found this feature very helpful but all text appears in black font on my machine. How can I change the setting? I have checked FAQ and the manual but couldn’t find an answer. Thanks for your help! Best regards, Mario
Re: Switch on colour coding in syntax editor
All versions of PSPP in the last 10+ years should support syntax highlighting. It does require PSPP to be able to find the "pspp.lang" file at runtime, so if PSPP wasn't installed quite right then that could be a problem. You might find out how your friend installed it and try to do it the same way. Yes. You can find out about PSPP at https://www.gnu.org/software/pspp/. On Tue, Mar 22, 2022 at 8:15 AM Peyton Henderson wrote: > > Hi! > > Does PSPP still work? I cannot afford SPSS for my class and was hoping to use > PSPP. > > Thanks!

PSPP still works. Let us know if you are having a specific problem (finding PSPP, installing it, using it, etc.). -Alan On 3/21/2022 9:06 PM, Peyton Henderson wrote: Hi! Does PSPP still work? I cannot afford SPSS for my class and was hoping to use PSPP. Thanks!

I don't use a Mac, so someone else will have to help. On Tue, Mar 22, 2022 at 9:47 AM Peyton Henderson wrote: > > Okay! I have tried downloading it but it doesn't seem to work on my MacBook > Pro. Re: pspp
Peyton, Go here: https://www.gnu.org/software/pspp/get.html And select one of the three methods (probably the "Application Bundle"). Hopefully, that will just work, but if you run into trouble, reply to this list with the specific error message or otherwise exactly what did not work. -Alan On 3/22/2022 12:13 PM, Ben Pfaff wrote: I don't use a Mac, so someone else will have to help. Re: pspp
Hi Peyton, for me it works on my Macbook Pro running Catalina. Could you describe how far you come? Do you use Macports, Homebrew or the DMG file? Is it the dmg version 1.4.1-2 ? Re: pspp
I'm not familiar with this, but as a guess I think try the most recent, which at at the top and says "#119" below the bundle. That will download a bundle. Not sure how installation on a Mac works; hopefully, it's automatic? -Alan On 3/22/2022 12:24 PM, Peyton Henderson wrote: Hello! It takes to me this page and I am not sure which link to click on afterwards.
