Hi,

I'm willing to take this. But my test setup is on arm64 which has a 
non-functioning openjdk17. ( 
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=260187 ) I do have a patch 
for openjdk.
It might take some time to properly test this for me so if somebody else beats 
me to it, no problem.

Since you've thankfully committed my last patch, I'd like to ask you to take a 
look at the latest update.

In addition to an update, it contains a maintainer change in case that's 
appropriate at this time. The original maintainer still hasn't reacted at all.
