Re: FLAVOR fallout?

2022-07-21 Thread Steve Kargl
Not sure what the problem was.

I use portmaster to manage my installed ports. Every month
or two I update the OS with the buildworld dance, and then
update any ports flagged by "pkg version -vl '<'".

With out fail, one (or more) problem crops up, and I report
it. I then find a fix for the problem and move on. To
the next broken port issue.

Re: FLAVOR fallout?

2022-07-21 Thread Tatsuki Makino
Hello.

So no matter how hard I tried I could not reproduce it, but that was a problem
that had already been fixed 😹
The portmaster must have been updated from 3.21 to 3.22 during the update that
caused the problem.
FreeBSD Bugzilla – Bug 265084 was a report of it.

Regards.

All I can do is report the failures I get. Havng portmaster
die with an error about a ficticious error about FLAVORS
being set or unset is silly.

I don't wait around for port maintainers to figure out the
issue. I fix or workaround the problem and move on. It's
the way the port collection works.
