This is package help in code-reviews and is very useful for software developers. It integrates nicely with Apache, Bugzilla, MTA, Version Control tools like CVS etc. It would be nice to have it in the Fedora Repository so that the server maintainers need not worry about the version mismatches while setting up or upgrading the server. [PLUG] [OT] Exceed, Exceed OnDemand, VNC
Hi, I need to use XWindow based applications on my Linux servers from my Windows/Linux desktop. I know VNC works for this. I learnt about Exceed. So I am trying to understand it's features by doing a google-search. I find that there two different products - Exceed and Exceed OnDemand. I would like to get some pointers about how these products - Exceed, Exceed OnDemand, VNC, differ from each other. Any advantage in using commercial products like Exceed/Exceed OnDemand ? Thanks in advance, Yogesh ___ Pune GNU/Linux Users Group Mailing List

Do you have a need for commercial product ? If not, you should consider XMing : http://www.straightrunning.com/XmingNotes/ http://sourceforge.net/projects/xming/ I've used it in past and was very happy -Mandar http://desipenguin.com/techblog ___ Pune GNU/Linux Users Group Mailing List

Simply start the X server on Windows, enable permissions (xhost ), connect to the Linux server (ssh/telnet), export display and run the app. Cheers, Hemant -- Registered Linux user #367178, http://counter.li.org Say NO to Monopolies.
