The Graduate Studies and Research Division at the University of Bridgeport
(UB) offers several interdisciplinary graduate programs within the Colleges
of Business, Engineering and Education & Human Resources. UB is currently
the fastest growing university in the State of Connecticut and in New

The Graduate Studies and Research Division (GSRD) of the University of
Bridgeport offers new and exciting degree programs and research

The inter-disciplinary graduate concentrations may be incorporated into the
graduate programs offered by the Colleges of Business, Engineering and/or
Education & Human Resources or embedded within a dual graduate degree
program.  Students can elect to enroll in one or more graduate degrees at
the Masters level in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical
Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Technology Management, MBA (Masters of
Business Administration) or the M.S. in MSIT (Masters of Science in
Instructional Technology) program. The division also offers a Ph.D. program
in Computer Science and Computer Engineering; and an Ed.D. program in
Education.

The interdisciplinary graduate degree or certificate concentrations
include: Accounting; Automation and Robotics; Bio-Tech Management; CAD/CAM;
China/India Trade; Computer Communications and Networking; Corporate,
Government and Information Security & Continuity Management; E-Commerce;
Entrepreneurship and New Venture Creation; Environmental and Energy
Management; Finance; Global Business; Global Marketing; Global Program and
Project Management; Health Care Management & Administration; Human

I have had a problem installing PostgreSQL with the same symptoms.  I think
whats happening is this: I try to install and get an error (something to do
with Java I think).  The installer rolls back, but leaves a tmp directory
behind.  Next time I try to install I get the error message about creating a
temporary directory that Miro mentions.  After I deleted the directories
left behind, the installer works (after playing around with my Java settings
to fix the first problem).  

I think it started working for Miro because by changing the install path,
the tmp directory previously left behind was no longer interfering.  

Maybe the installer could be fixed to remove the tmp directory during
install rollback?  My errors always occurred during the database
initialisation phase.
