I don't understand the difference between UTorrent and Bitorrent? Do I need an account for UTorrent? Anita - Original Message - From: "Matthew Bullis" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC audio discussion list. " Sent: Sunday, April 30, 2006 2:11 AM Subject: Re: BitTorrent Questions. Hello, there's UTorrent, which isn't even an installing program. You just hit enter on the file name and it goes. It's very accessible. Using torrents is not illegal, but the content you download can be both legal and illegal. You can get UTorrent from www.UTorrent.com and you can download lossless live music from www.DimeADozen.org and www.BootCity.org It may be hard to get an account on those though, because they only take a certain amount of users at a time. I even had to borrow an account to get what I need. The concept of torrents is that when you're downloading, you're also uploading, as others are getting parts of the torrent from you, and other parts from other people who have that torrent. Its funny, the sound that I'm trying to get rid of isn't actually there I'm trying to assign Ding.wav to Windows critical stop. This may be the wrong event. When you say "list of sounds" what list are you refering to? I apologize if you already know this, but you can see the different events you can associate with different sounds in Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Devices. In the Sounds tab, there's a tree view with all of the different events. Note that this includes Windows events as well as events from other applications. You can use the Play button as you move through this list, and maybe you can identify which event is using bing.wav as well as the other sound you're looking for. Podcast questions.
Hi List, What's a podcast, and how does it work? Does the pacemaker accompany the podcasts? Do podcasts and the pacemaker software work with Window-Eyes version 5.0? I have Pacemaker 1.3 installed, but no nothing about it or how the configuration is supposed to be set up. Should I indeed be using version 1.3 or 2.1? Please help! Thanks. PaceMaker question.
Hi List, while trying to install Pacemaker, I read in part of the instructions to wear protective clothing and helmet. I haven't ever heard of such a thing from a computer installer for applications. What is meant by keeping away from children? Hi list, I was trying to play a file in Winamp, and got a message that a codec was missing in Winamp. What is a codec, and where do I go to download it? Is there a particular one that needs to be installed? winamp can play .wav files, correct? Podcast questions.
Hi List, What are podcasts? Are they accessible with screen readers? If so, are there scripts and set files to make them more useable? What is RSS? Can one listen to podcasts while they're being aired, or only after they're downloaded? What are some web sites of podcasts users on this list have found easy to navigate?
