These cards are higher capacity than I remember, because the most I remember
was 64-GB!

I've just learned that the first generation Victor Reader Stream will handle
SDXC cards, you just need to format them via the menus no different than the
second gen. sounds like good times.
I asked this on the VRStream list, subscribe information below.

There's no such thing as a perfect SD card. The point? Is that there will be
lemons so to speak regardless of the manufacturer, name etc. the second gen
Victor will handle any SDXC card thrown at it regarding capacity. The
highest I've heard used to date is the 512GB PNY SDXC which last I checked
was at $190.99. there are a decent amount though using the 256GB SDXC PNY
card as well. I myself am only using a 128GB card and haven't filled that up
yet, but I am not one who hangs on to books etc. like most seem to.
So the size is entirely up to your individual budget or lack there of. I
myself would go with the PNY cards and choose whatever size fitting your
comfort level with the cost. Amazon is a great place to go and
look/purchase.

   Hello,

I'm looking to purchase a large capacity card to store a large quantity of
OTR shows encoded in MP3 format on. I'm sick of swapping 64 GB cards for
listening to various genres saved on several SD cards. Just want one big boy
card to put the majority of them on.

What is the largest capacity SD card the Victory Reader Stream can handle?
Also what is the best brand to buy that will last the longest period of
time?

Thanks for any recommendations.

Hi!
I’ve had my B&W T7 for over a week now - 9 days to be precise - and the battery
hasn’t required a second charge as yet.
No, I haven’t been playing the speaker at an ear splitting volume and no, the
speaker has only been used for around 3 hours a day so surely! the battery will
give out soon.
Here’s to Bluetooth 4.x and its low power consumption I guess .

Re: Ripping DVD'S usin Windows

2016-10-30 Thread Dane Trethowan

I've tried this method with both Window-Eyes and NVDA.

Press Windows-B, that brings up the System Tray and you may have to
check that additional notifications are displayed, that's usually the
first option, it appears as a check-box.

Move down the list till you come to Any DVD and then use the context key
or rout the mouse to the Any DVD icon and right click on it.

From here you'll see a menu with various options which include Rip DVD
to Hard Drive.

I'll make the most of the 21 day trial and - if it does what I
want which seems very likely - then I'll happily buy.

I use the Mac for this task usually so no idea what people are
using under Windows.

I'm not interested in just extracting audio from DVD'S, I want to
rip the full content.

I've tried this method with both Window-Eyes and NVDA.

Press Windows-B, that brings up the System Tray and you may have to check
that additional notifications are displayed, that's usually the first
option, it appears as a check-box.

Move down the list till you come to Any DVD and then use the context key
or rout the mouse to the Any DVD icon and right click on it.

From here you'll see a menu with various options which include Rip DVD to
Hard Drive.

Well I'm actually using NVDA.

When I access the System Tray I use the Windows shortcut of windows-b,
wonder if this might help?

I double-right click on the Any DVD HD Icon and the option is there, a
window then opens where you can change a few things before you
double-click the copy button.

I'm trialing that now and it certainly seems easy enough to get
around at least.
