memory stick players not playing content in order?

2015-08-02 Thread goshawk on horseback
hello all,
am having a rather frustrating problem, with a memory stick player, when trying
to play a memory stick with a series of audio books on it.
when I play it on the PC, or my PTX1 talking book player, the books will play
in the right order, but for some strange reason, when I play them on this other
player, they don't, they will play in a different order.
the books were obtained from different sources, but are all in MP3 format. is
there any way I can get them to play in the right order on this other player?
for reference, the other player is a Sanyo MCD-UB685M.

Hi,

Try renaming them and putting a number at the beginning, such as 01-Chapter
1.mp3, 02-Chapter 2.mp3, etc.

Or try creating a .m3u playlist in the book's folder.

All the best

it is the order that the books play in that is the issue, I think the
individual books themselves do play through properly, hope that makes sense.

Hi,

If you want the folders to play in a particular order, then number the
folders. So 01-Book 1, 02-Book 2 etc.

All the best

Hi,

Well yes, even if you have to download Talkback from the Play Store it
should work. What I don't know is what version of Droid it is.

Well that makes for the 64 million dollar question, I know some versions
of Android TV'S are running Android 2.0 so - given that - running
Talkback and having it accessible is quite out of the question so we can
only hope.
