There is audio with the video, and you can hear how it's voice sounds,
and people talking about it.

What is it that you guys doubt it can do and we can ask them how it's done

The only problem is that its quite difficult at times to find the
direct URL. If you have a flash station how on earth do you find it?
And tapp in radio don't have a URL finder like replay radio.

It is hard unless the station provides it on the page. We use Flash and
provide the address of the stream as well.

Sound Forge 8

2014-12-29 Thread wayne smith
Hello- I am new to this list and hope to share info with you all.

I was doing well with Sound Forge 8 years ago then my XP machine crashed and
burned. I am using Windows 7 64bit and I learned that there is a free
download for Sound Forge 8 but it requires a codec Pac 1 download as well.
Can I download all of this on my current computer without it creating
problems? I tried Goldwave and Audacity but they don't come close to the
ease and versatility of Sound Forge 8. I can't afford to buy a current
version of Sound Forge at this point. I use a JAWS screen reader 14. Your
thoughts would be appreciated.

RE: using tapin to record from other sites

2014-12-29 Thread Humberto Rodriguez
The URL or web address of the website is not the URL of the stream. For
example, our internet radio station (in Spanish) is located at
http://radiogeneral.com while the address of the stream is
http://radiogeneral.com:8000 and, more frequently than not, people who don't
have a streaming server of their own, but contract a streaming service, will
show an IP address, such as http://72.123.45.67:8122 and notice also that
the port number, which normally defaults to 8000, could be any number other
than those already asigned to other tasks, normally any number over 1000 and
that the number may be followed by a slash and a mount point.

Okay then...if you can get that stream into "favorites"...then just bring up
the streaming page that should work, shouldn't it? I know I've done it
before...although has been a little while since I've tried it! So in short,
you're just bringing up the page that the stream it's on (not the station
address itself) try that and see if you have luck with it!

Hi Wayne and all,

I am now using Sound Forge 11 Pro, but it's not as easy to use as Sound
Forge 8 was. So if you get it downloaded, let all of us know. I have not
tried going back to it.

Subject: Sound Forge 8

Hello- I am new to this list and hope to share info with you all.

I was doing well with Sound Forge 8 years ago then my XP machine crashed
and

Wayne

Hi Hank,

You don't say what screen reader you're using but there are Window-Eyes
scripts available that were originally designed to work with Easy CD-DA
Extractor available on AppCentral at

www.gwmicro.com/sc

I don't use them myself but they might help you.

Regards Steve.

Hello Colin:

I think you are referring to Stereo Mix or What you hear, which was common
in Windows XP and in an attemp to control piracy, is missing in most
Windows 7 sound cards. You can get a similar effect and combine different
sound sources with Total Recorder Pro, it will allow you to mix in Options.

2014-12-29 Thread Steve Jacobson
Someone asked if these links could be passed on to the National Federation of
the Blind. I can send them to our R&D committee for its consideration.
However, when I reviewed the web site, it looks to me as though there are some
pretty solid goals and general product design decisions, but it does not
seem as though it is built on anything existing. Therefore, I don't know that
I see what is all that amazing at this point. Still, it is worth watching.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson

Download the Player.exe from
http://www.vuplayer.com/player.php
Install it and agree to terms.
Start the player.
Insert a CD and wait till it's recognized.
Pres control+p to export the information in the player.ini.
Open CDEx and cancel the process of searching the data base.
Press alt and navigate to the right to CDDB.
Press arrow down till you find "Read from player.ini" and hit enter.
The information should be there.
I only very rarely have a CD that the combination of FreeCDDB and Gracenote
don't cover.

Good luck and get back to me, if you need any further help.
Take care,
Alexandra
