Looking for tutorial
Hi folks, I just received an Olympus dm-620 recorder as a father's day gift. I'm wondering if there is a tutorial somewhere out there to which I could listen to get started using the device. Thanks, in advance, for any info. Happy father's day to all for whom it is a valid wish. Rusty To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: pc-audio-unsubscr...@pc-audio.org
Re: USB input device
Thanks, Robert, for the suggestion. I've been looking at the 302 and 502; the price ain't much different. Judging from the Amazon description, it sounds like there's one combination XLR and quarter inch connector and a pair of RCA jacks. Sounds to me like it does not have stereo mic plugs. It says either three or five inputs. Does that mean channels? Or do they all feed into one channel. Nothing is mentioned about input or output level controls. Sure wish I could go down to the store and check it out. Thought if I find the manual I could learn a lot more; but can't seem to find one to download--or to do anything else with. All my experience is back in the 60's when it was all analog. Do you know a little more about these things that you could pass along? Thank you a lot. Sure appreciate your help. Re: Finding URL
When you're on the page, hit alt D for the address bar, hit the Home key for the beginning of the line, then you must copy word by word till you get the link (URL) all selected so you can copy to the clipboard. Then you can paaste it in the appropriate field in Winamp. Links in Thunderbird and sending email from IE [was "Re: <>"]
Using a subject line might help get your questions noticed by the right people. The settings to send email with Thunderbird in IE will be found in IE and Not Thunderbird. Go into your IE settings and look for applications. You should be able to set Thunderbird as your email client in IE. Sorry I can't be of more help, but I'm not running Windows at the moment. As such, it renders all of the links in their emails to me inoperable. Does anyone know how to stop this from happening? It seems that this has started hapening just recently. Also, no one as yet has answered my question concerning how to set up the send dialog box under the file menu in IE to allow the emailing of IE pages or links to pages to email receipiants.. Both the email page and the email link options in IE are grayed out. I thought that the settings for both of these conditions could be found in T-Bird. Does anyone know? Christopher, You forgot to mention that Thunderbird is no way relevant to the pc audio list. That might be why nobody replied! Goldwave help needed
I am using version 5.68 of Goldwave with Window-eyes 8.2 on a windows 7 64-bit system. I continue to struggle so as to be able to use the VU meters. In the Goldwave manual, I found the following but do not understand just where to find it so as to achieve the desired result. Accessibility Interface If a screen reader is active when starting GoldWave, the program automatically changes its interface slightly to be more screen reader friendly. Screen reader mode can be switched on manually by using GoldWave Setup in the Windows Start menu and checking the Force screen reader mode box. The status visual in the Control window becomes a text box that gives the elapsed time, the current status, and the peak levels (in parentheses). The levels are reset whenever playback or recording is restarted. The levels are given in percentages, but tabbing to the text box and pressing D changes it to decibels. Pressing D again changes it back to percentages. Press R to reset the peaks. Press P to pause updates to give time for the screen reader to read it. These keys only work when the status visual has the keyboard focus and the keys have not been assigned Don Roberts To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: pc-audio-unsubscr...@pc-audio.org
