As many know, I had a stroke back in 2011 and my memory for things I haven't done in a long time is fuzzy at best. Enter my Olympus Dm520 whose batteries are doornail dead. Well it seems to work flawlessly when plugged into the pc, but not so the operator. What are the buttons avove and below the cursor keys? Which are the number 9 and 0 keys refered to in the manual? The manual is here on cd but I can't remember the button layout on the front. Can't remember how to set date and time, which I probably need to do. I go from folder to folder I still know how to record, but can't remember how to change modes either. Many thanks. Playing an MP3 File on a Chat Site
If I am on a chat site or on Skype using my microphone, how can I play and MP3 file from my hard drive? I have heard people do this, for example, to play a sample of them playing an instrument, but I do not know how this is done or if special software is required. -- Rich De Steno To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: pc-audio-unsubscr...@pc-audio.org

I know that Vip Conduit has a player that allows one to play music in their music rooms; sounds good! Depends on your sound card where you set it but yes, its easily done. Basically you want to change your sound source from mid to line in and you're on your way. -Original Message- From: Pc-audio [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On Behalf Of Rich De Steno Sent: Tuesday, May 21, 2013 5:24 AM To: PC Audio Discussion List Subject: Playing an MP3 File on a Chat Site If I am on a chat site or on Skype using my microphone, how can I play and MP3 file from my hard drive? Thanks. Really, I'm happy with this one for my use. Is the one you're getting demonstrably better? The vender from whom I bought it kept referring to it as the "loving" 520. I don't recall that I've ever had to do anything to my sound card to play music on VIP..but maybe there's something in the client that takes care of that! They do it for you by providing for an alternative audio source; they just do automatically what I described. -Original Message- From: Pc-audio [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On Behalf Of Tom Kaufman Sent: Tuesday, May 21, 2013 7:05 PM To: PC Audio Discussion List Subject: Re: Playing an MP3 File on a Chat Site I don't recall that I've ever had to do anything to my sound card to play music on VIP..but maybe there's something in the client that takes care of that! Re: Playing an MP3 File on a Chat Site
Not anymore; in other words, you don't use the extra audio source like they used to; don't really know how it's done, but the client has it's own player.
