My Dell Inspiron 5150 does not allow for monitoring so I must record then playback to see how it sounds. How to Find Current Winamp Version with Window-Eyes
I jsut found myself unable to do a very simple thing: Get my current Winamp Standard version and check for an update. Much as I like Jeff Bishop's scripts, the Alt-H goes into some hints for those, while F1 wants me to sign up for AOL. I've always liked Winamp, especially after they abandoned that Wasaby system or whatever, but such a simple task must have a nice simple answer when posed to the geniuses on this list. A winamp question
Although I prefer to use Window-eyes with its Winamp scripts, I would also greatly appreciate responses from Jaws users. I am using Winamp version 5.61, I believe. What I am attempting to determine is whether there is some way to copy all of the track info shown for a given track. I just downloaded a classical album entitled something like 99 violin masterpieces, and the track info supplied provides title, artist, album info. I can see this with the Window-eyes scripts but want a way to copy it and subsequently braille it. But it would be really tedious to manually copy each track line by line. So, thanks in advance for suggestions as to whether this can be done; and, if so, just how to do it. Re: A winamp question
You want to create an HTML view of the playlist. From the playlist editor, press control-alt-G. This brings up a web page in Internet Explorer. - Original Message - From: "Donald L. Winamp Problem
Hello list: I am experiencing a problem when I try to launch Winamp: it presents me with an '"error" message; you know, one of those "send/don't send" things! I don't know if something has become corrupted or not; we had a storm go through here a while ago; the lights flickered and the computer shut down! Well then about five minutes later, I booted back up, thinking that the storm was mostly over with! But just as it was getting to the desk top, the lights flickered again! So my question is: how do I get my Winamp working again and not get this "don't send" error message? Okay..I went on and sent the error message (I don't normally do this) but I decided I'd see what Microsoft had to say! It suggested I download the latest version of Winamp! Now here's the thing: is the latest version of Winamp accessible? Thanks for whatever help or info you can offer! Tom Kaufman P.S. I have also restarted the computer in hopes this would solve it; it did not! - Original Message - From: "Tom Kaufman" To: "PC audio discussion list.
