Tapin Radio
Ok, when using tapin radio i can record with it but i can only get about 28 songs recorded is this a limatation of the free program? I am using windows xp, service pack three all updates, tapin radio 1.39 portable. could you please advise? I can provide the url i am recording as well if that would be benficial to figuring out why this is not working? the url is. http://3463.live.streamtheworld.com:80/CBS_R20_911P_F128_SC Please advise as to what i should do. I know of no limitations as far as recording with Tapin Radio; I have recorded up to four hours worth before with no problem! Sure would, however, like to be able to use the scheduler! But am told that the "task scheduler" is not in service and I know nothing about how I correct this! It does, indeed, have a scheduler! Unfortunately I've not been able to get it to work! However I know of other folks who have; if you go to the "favorites" menu (alt-A) then arrow down to where it says "scheduling" then hit "enter", that'll get it; if you should try it, hope you have better luck than what I have had! Whenever I try it; when I get down to where it says "create task button", it informs me that the "task scheduler is not in service!" It is my understanding that the Tapin Radio scheduler works with the "scheduled task" thing in Windows; apparently mine is not turned on and I don't know how to make it "turn on!" Tom I'll indeed try that. And see if I can get it to work and if it will record while I am away from home also. What would be nice is something that would connect to the stream at the time the recording should start and then disconnect when the recording is finished. According to what I've been told, Tapin Radio will do this..that is..if you can get the scheduler to work! What I really love is the fact that Tapin Radio (from what I am told) records directly from the internet! Therefore, you can be using the computer; your screen reader can be active, but it will not get on your recording! That much I know to be true as I've done this several times! Plus, you can adjust the volume level and it will not affect the recording! Hi, List, Some time ago some people here talked about the Sony ecm-#ieg mike. Curious, I found one. As folks said, it sounds good in general. It has rather low output, but more important, bass response is way down. It does work well for speech, and, in fact, I used it to put a reading of a part of my book on my website. I find no adjustments other than the position of the on/off switch and the rotating capsules. I look for whatever you have to say about this. Thank you. Hello, All, A member of this list recommended cdex to extract tracks from cd's. That was very much appreciated, and indeed, it works quite well. There are some disks which, for some reason, cannot be extracted. I went to Sourceforge and found a later one (with a version number too long for me to quote. Should anyone look for it, it's obviously the last version issued back in 2009. It extracts faster than the first version I tried. It extracts even those disks which originally could not be extracted. Problem es that they don't appear to go anywhere. I know where they should be found, but no luck. I searched for the files and they couldn't be found. I figured that I'd find aa clue in the menus but I could not find one. I don't recall what happened when I tried using the help function.
