It is fairly easy to use. Yu can use z to go back. C to pause. V to stop.
B
to go forward. I Uusually just keep the main window and the playlist
window
open. There are shortcut keys for opening and closing windows in it but
you
can also alt and down arrow to the nelsoft winamp sub menu and right
arrow
into it. Make sure jus the main window and playlist window are checked.
You

can open tracks in the playlist window. Control n wipes it clean. Also
remember if your in the main window by accident it will remove all the
other
tracks and just have that one. You can go between windows with control
tab.

Also r is for repeat and s is for shuffle. Control shift t gives the time
remaining and control shift r randomizes the whole playlist. This should
be
good enough to get you started. Also make sure it is in classic skin or
jaws
won't read it right. This can be changed in preferences with control p
and

then down to skins tab and make sure it is on classic then hit enter. Any
other questions feel free to email me off list at mcare...@att.net.

ot: sound we are or have lived afraid

2011-07-09 Thread Bardia

Hello!
Now I intend to write one thing that I want you to share with you out of your
experience too if you wish.
It is about what sound you are or have lived afraid.
I think sometimes some gun sounds in movies are otecka then when type inläsares
recording on audio books are poorly made.
When some lights that were doing break allows the special way and engine stuff
such as chainsaws and tractors can sprinkle huh oteckt.
Sounds like when you scrape the plate, which many say ugh! It's unpleasant
sound, and that they get chills of if I did not agree.
Does that sound sounds grymmt when you scrape the fork against talrickibland.
Then that one is playing with styrofoam sound asså pulls Styrofoam stuff to
each other are also good sound I think is so, but many others do not.
Sound will be a little on my condition asså things that I think good.
Firecrackers can be otecka sometimes!
• when the loud sound a bit scary sometimes.
• before I was right to sound as asså high things rundgångetc.
• But itne as mkt anymore.
• And have you thought about that many votes and männiuskor may sound otecka
and disgusting, or they can let the sleek elelr normal and that many people may
sound harsh and angry all the time though they ientligen sounds so that they do.
• Share gjärna with you!

Hejsan!

Hi,

There was freeverb, a winamp reverb plugin that was less intrusive, but one
needed the dsp plugin before ffreeverb, and I don't know if that would work
with gw.

One can change settings, the numbers in the boxes, one is not just limited
to the list of presets. Use the review function, and have a play until you
find what you're looking for.

Others may have other definitions of "reverb" and "echo"; to me, "echo" is
that "slap" sound (like when you make a sound and you hear it bounce
back); "reverb" (to me) is a sound much like when you're in a big room. I
don't know if my descriptions are totally accurate, but that's as good as

Hi,

I am making what I hope will be a piano cd. I was thinking I would
like to have just a bit of echo on it. I am not sure what the difference
in Goldwave is between echo and reverb, but, if I have tried all the
settings correctly, there is too much echo and too much delay. Are there
any plug ins that would give just a very slight echo so I don't have to
get one of these psychodelic sounding things?

What's the difference between echo and reverv anyway?

Thanks.

correct. The beauty of gw is that you can access the numbers while
playing the file. diamond cut 8 is a bit strange in that department and
it's best to make changes and then preview which can be tedius.

subsonic clip editing at the sample level

2011-07-09 Thread Dave Bahr

Hi there audio gang,

I have recently been in contact with a very well-respected jazz audio
mastering specialist, Doug Pomeroy. I asked him about audio editing and
what he used to do it. He made a few very good points and I thought I
would throw these out there.

First, there is the idea of clipping, not just at the level that can be
detected by distortion heard in the music, but the level of the sample.
Pomeroy is sighted and therefore can see the graphs of the waveform
where the peaks are and can adjust accordingly. It seems as if the
industry standard is to avoice clipping at all costs, can't say I blame
them of course. I'm wondering if anyone here has experimented with such
repairs at the subsonic sample level? If so, what have you used and how?
I know there are sound forge scripts out there that can tell you overall
levels, but that's about all I know.

--
The other point brought up was regarding transients on a disc. These are
surface noise things that can be at the levels of the 44 thousandth of a
second of a sample or finer. This relates to the clipping issue, in
short, i'm wondering if anyone has done editing at this level.
any thoughts are welcome on this one, i hope I have explained things
sort of well,

Dave c. bahr

Re: Adjusting the volume

2011-07-09 Thread Barry Chapman
Yes there is.

1. Press ctrl+p for preferences.

2. Arrow to the output plugin.

3. Tab to configure and press space.

4. Tab to output device then arrow to the sound card you wish to use.

5. Tab to close and press enter.

That should do it.

Barry Chapman

Hi

Is there a setting in winamp to play music fro different
sound card? i.e. if I use an usb sound card and set winamp
to play music through that source, would it work? I could
have hal talking through the one built into my netbook and
have winamp playing through the external.

Regards

Adrien
