Re: Determining Sound Blaster Card

2009-04-29 Thread Jeff Bishop
It just shows up as a x-FI card in device manager. You can go to the
Creative support site and have it detect your card. It will then tell you
what model it is.

Subject: Determining Sound Blaster Card

Hello,

Does anyone know how to determine the version of a Sound Blaster X-FI card
that is installed on a machine? When I look in Device Manager, what shows
up is just X-FI. I'm trying to determine if the card is just an X-FI card
or an X-FI Titanium. If anyone has the X-FI Titanium can you tell me what
it shows up as in Device Manager?

Kelly

Winamp library no longer supported

2009-04-29 Thread Tony Swartz
Today I installed version 5.552 of Winamp and to my surprise and
disappointment I found that the library is no longer supported, or at least,
I found no way to access it. I have better than 400 radio and audio streams
stored as bookmarks. And while it's still possible to access bookmarks from
the main menu, in the library with the bookmark view, I was able to arrow up
and down the list and streams, moving to and playing one after another, much
like presets on a radio. If accessed from the main menu, Once enter is
pressed on a bookmark, the bookmark list disappears and focus returns to the
main menu.

My questions are these: is anyone aware of how to create that sort of preset
functionality without the library? Or, are there plans to restore the
library in a future version?

Thanks,
Tony Swartz

Re: Winamp library no longer supported

2009-04-29 Thread Casey
Hi let me ask you what web site did you down load the latest version of
winamp from?
If you got it from the whitestick.co.uk web site that version doesn't seem
to have the library in it.

I had that version and uninstalled it cause I didn't see it in there.
So I down loaded it from the winamp.com web site and picked to down load the
full version and that version did have the library in it.

So maybe that will fix your problem.

Using Google, it looks like it's included in Creative ZEN Stone Starter
