Hi Saqib, Thanks for that info. As I said in another reply, I'm copying all audio files to the library in Windows Media Player, and then I will try and burn the two that I need to Audio CD, although, if you could clarify the location of the directory you referred to that would be helpful. Hi Alexander, I use Nero, but I find that if you use minus R's, Nero will not burn, so you have to use plus R's, and that does work. - Original Message - From: "Alexander Shannon" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC Audio Discussion List" Sent: Thursday, November 06, 2008 5:12 AM Subject: Re: problems burning .wma files to CDR disks Hi, Thank you for your message. Hi Abarney, Thank you for your message. I think I am trying to use CD-R disks so these could be CD minus R disks but I'm not certain. hello, i also use nero, 7 ultra and nero 8 in my other computer and i have no problem using those -rs and also +rs and everything burns fine. it might be your burner starting to act up. they do that when they start to go. they get very picky as to the type of media to burn to. just a thought. - Original Message - From: "abarney" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC Audio Discussion List" Sent: Thursday, November 06, 2008 9:40 AM Subject: Re: problems burning .wma files to CDR disks Hi Alexander, I use Nero, but I find that if you use minus R's, Nero will not burn, so you have to use plus R's, and that does work. - Original Message - From: "Alexander Shannon" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC Audio Discussion List" Sent: Thursday, November 06, 2008 5:12 AM Subject: Re: problems burning .wma files to CDR disks Hi, Thank you for your message. Re: problems burning .wma files to CDR disks
Hi all, Sorry to reply to my own message, but I've even tried writing the .wma files to a CDR via the Send Too function in Windows XP and I'm still getting nowhere. When I try to write the files to CD I highlight each file in turn and then press shift F10 on it and select send to from the resulting list. From the list that then appears I select my CD drive, first making sure that the drive contains a CDR. Then Windows Media player opens and then nothing else takes place. So, please can someone tell me where I am going wrong, and send me either on or off list, some step by step instructions taking into account that I use Supernova rather than Jaws as my screen reader. Thank you in advance for any further help anyone can give. Hi Alexander, the only way that you will know, is to have a sighted person to read the CD. - Original Message - From: "Alexander Shannon" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC Audio Discussion List" Sent: Thursday, November 06, 2008 10:42 AM Subject: Re: problems burning .wma files to CDR disks Hi Abarney, Thank you for your message. Hi abarney, If you are meaning looking at the files in the CD drive, I do have some residual vision and looking at the files shows that they are ready to be transferred to the CD, but the process does not take place as far as I can make out. Hi Saqib, Thanks for that reply. The files get to the CD Drive, but it's the burning to the actual CD where things go wrong. Hi Les, I haven't had this desktop very long, so I'd guess that the problem is not necessarily the burner, particularly as I haven't, as far as I can remember, successfully burned playable CDs since I've had the computer Alexander Shannon Jonathan Mosen List Founder Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

From: Jamal Mazrui [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Burn to CD 1.0 Press Shift-Windows-B to burn the contents of a folder onto a CD. You are prompted for a folder, which initially defaults to the user profile folder. All files and subfolders within it are added to the CD (in the first CD drive found).
