I was wanting to be able to run the autotune effect on some audio, to
give it the "T-Pain" effect. I was wondering is there any good
accessible autotune software for dumbies?

Can you navigate the audio controls in the card? I know with some of the

Quality of ITunes Audiobooks

2008-10-05 Thread Samuel Wilkins
Hello there, I was looking on ITunes for some audiobooks to see how good they
sounded. I found some, however some of the bass and treble have been taken out
when playing the demos of them. Is this deliberately done by ITunes, or is that
a problem with the audiobook itself? It said that the audiobooks are from
audible.co.uk, so could that be the problem? I searched for Doctor Who and the
Doomsday Weapon and I know how it should sound because I heard a sample of it
somewhere else.

Pitch correction moves vocals up or down to the closest note. Its

HI listers. I have some words of warning if any of you ever decide to
purchase the card I mentioned in the subject line. I bought one of them,
and am currently working to get it sent back. When recording, you can't
set
levels by using a similar level to what the computer volume is for
recording
line-in sources. If you do, you will get lots of distortion. Other than
that, the card seems to work fine except that in some games, I had to
turn

the hardware sampling rate down to 33 percent so the computer wouldn't
crash. Assuming all goes well, I intend to go with the sound blaster
x-fi

OEM card. I would welcome any comments or ideas on this matter. Thanks

Re: winamp scripts

2008-10-05 Thread Barry Chapman
For JAWS 9 and 10, the scripts already provided with JAWS will work the best.
There are issues with the library, but this is
because of changes in recent versions of Winamp. The scripts on the JFWLite
site are for older versions of JAWS and Winamp and
won't work at all well with JAWS 9 and 10.

Regards,
Barry Chapman
