WMA online store and subscription rights
Hi People. I could do with some advice here. I am finding lately that each time I open a WMA file, it plays but about 3 or four seconds later I get the message that it is connecting to the on line store.Once this happens it is very difficult to close down that file although the track still plays. Also, sometimes after I have closed down a WMA file It tells me it is cancelling the download of subscription rights and then I get a progress report giving the percentages. Is there any way to discontinue this. I don't know where to look nor how to remedy it. Thanks to a member of this list for sending me the Programme DVD Audio Extractor I spoke of last week. They very kindly also sent a key gen and I now have things up and running. Your help with my WMA query will be appreciated. Installation was Re: Easy CD-DA Extractor Version 11.9.9 is now Available
Hi, I downloaded version 11 of Easy CDDA Extractor from the page for registered users. One thing that's holding me back from installing the product is that during the installation, there's an options screen with a checkbox-styled button that says "Enable context menus in Windows Explorer" along with some buttons that JFW 9 can't read. Pressing them doesn't seem to do anything. Does anyone know what these are for? Also, how accessible is this version compared to version 9 with JFW? I still have the older version, but thought about upgrading in case there are any bugfixes. Thanks. Hi Walter, I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but there is a player tab which has a check box that says "connect to the Internet." Perhaps you have that box checked. Go to tools then options and then the player tab. HTH Norma At 01:58 AM 08/19/2008, you wrote: >Hi People. I could do with some advice here. Re: Installation was Re: Easy CD-DA Extractor Version 11.9.9 is now Available
If I may chime in here. I've been critical of the author of Easy CD DA Extracto in the past for accessibility issues, it appears to me that as new versions of the software have become available the less accessible they've become. Now I don't know how true the following is but I've been told that the author isn't entirely to blame for this, the fault it would seems lies at the foot of Microsoft and the Windows library's that the Author is tapping into for his software and its likely to get worse. Again, I'm disappointed but I'm not worried because there are better alternatives for extracting audio from CD and they don't cost a bean, Exact Audio Copy and Max for example. I also have no regrets whatever registering Easy CD DA Extractor, at least the author is working to resolve issues but Easy CD DA Extractor seems to be (yet again) one of these pieces of software that insist on giving us new features before problems with the software are resolved. microphone questions
Hello, I know this list is primarily for electronic music stuff, but I was wondering whether any of you could help me with an audio queery. I am considering purchasing a Zoom H2 digital recorder, as it is the least expensive device to offer as many features and such great quality as recorders twice it's price. I want to purchase several different external microphones for it. It supports plug-and-power, with a 1/8 inch stereo mic in/line in jack. I want to purchase the following: 1. A mono microphone 2. A pair of high quality sterio microphones, handheld with mic stands. I want them to be good quality but reasonably inexpensive, somewhere less than 300 dollars. 3. A lapel mic. 4. A set of sterio ear microphones. (sometimes called headworn or over-the-ear mics. 5. A sterio mic, that is like a pair of headphones in that there is only 1 connection, and the cord splits into 2 mics. I want to purchase all of these mics, but am not sure of the manufacturer. What will give me the best quality but be least expensive? Which mic should I choose? I need the mic cable to end in a 1/8 inch connector.
