Fwd: Winamp Scripts Updated (Window-Eyes)

2008-07-05 Thread Steve Pattison
From: Jeff Bishop
To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Here are the changes:

Enhancements in July 4th Release (Version 0.99L):

1. Added support for the new Winamp Drop Box window found in the 5.34 public
beta of Winamp. The following keys were added:

Control-Shift-D - Open Winamp Drop Box window.
Alt-M - Invoke drop box context menu.
Control-E - Rename play list.
Control-N - Start a new play list.
Control-O - Open a play list.
Control-S - Save a play list.

Note: The winamp.000 set now has the Field Data hotkey disabled.

2. Refined braille display logic for the play list. Braille users, report
back if this meets with your approval. If so, I will continue expanding the
braille support.

3. If the control+O key is used inside of the play list to open a new play
list then you will be returned to the play list window. The Winamp default is
to put you into the main Winamp window.

4. Added a lot more logic to the Winamp Debug Mode logic. If you continue to
have issues with the Winamp scripts then follow these steps:

A. Press Alt-F12 to clear the Winamp log file.

B. Press Control-F12 to toggle debug mode on. This key toggles debug mode on
and off.

C. Perform the steps to produce the issues.

 D. Press Control-F12 to turn off debug mode.

E. Press Control-Alt-F12 to generate a Winamp Customer Support error report
and send the email it generates.

Anyone have this handy?
I'd imagine it includes de-ionized water and some kind of surfactant,

Cd iso image needed

2008-07-05 Thread Donald L. Roberts
Hello Friends,

I have a most unusual request, and I'll explain why.

Because I am on the wrong side of the generation gap, most if not
all of my CDs are too old to be listed on a database such as free
db. I need to demonstrate a cd player in a few days; and in
order to demonstrate its ability to use its ability to retrieve
album info from a database, I need a cd new enough to qualify.

Therefore, I am writing to request that someone on this list send
me either an iso image or preferably a Nero nrg image of any cd
which you know is listed in the free db database.

I would suggest that you use something like Sendspace to send it
to me because the file size limit is, I think, 300 megs. Even
so, this may not be big enough, and, Thanks to Ric Justice, I
have a wonderful free file splitter which will solve this
problem. So, if you are willing to help, and if you need this
file splitter, please write me, preferably this evening, at:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Thanks for any help.

Hi

As I said in my previous message, the media section of the player
includes a number of radio stations, podcast and audio books you
can
listen to right from within the player. It also allows you to
send
and receive private messages, sort of like IMs, and every user
gets
their own Microblog, or at least that's what it's called. You
can
also play a dice poker game on it, and this is only the
beginning.
and as I said before this is all self-voicing, no screenreader
required.

Live 365

2008-07-05 Thread Marsha
Hi Guys
I have a subscription to live 365, partly because some of the
subscription fee goes to help pay the royalties. They claim that the live
365 player has better quality than the other players because it will play
some types of files that Winamp will not play. First, does anyone know if
this is true? Second, if it is true, are there any scripts for the player?
Thank you very much for taking the time to answer this question.

Re: Live 365

2008-07-05 Thread Kelly Pierce
Some Live365 streams are encoded with the MP3Pro technology. This allows a
MP3 stream to sound about as good as a stream double its bitrate. there is
a couple of different MP3Pro encoders that can be lugged into Winamp. I
chose one with no bugs or reported problems and my Live365 streams sound
great. I get all the control and flexibility with Winamp with all the
sound enhancement of the Live365 player.

Kelly,

I once found that my favorite jazz station, KJAZZ, had a link for getting
that plug in, but, I was unsuccessful in getting it. How does one get such
a plug in? Actually, I have never imported a plug in before-- got any
suggestions?

Thanks,
