Re: Direct speech output
Hello John, It has been over 20 years cence i've used a Mack computer. Back then, they were called Apple-2 computers. They had these cards that plugged in to a slot on the mother board. These cards were called eccoe speach centhisisers. They would read the text on the screen to you, but if the text happen to be in a box, it was a pane to get it to read it to you. Maby I'm using the rong mejuring stick to mejur a pc against a Mack or vice versa, I thot that you had to have some kind of software to make a Mack read the text that shows up on it's screen. Think you for clearing that up for me. Because of this, I know what to expect. - Original Message - From: "John Sanfilippo" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "'PC audio discussion list. Hi just wondering since you have one of these units. Would you be willing to do an audio review of it like on blind cool tech or some place like that. So those of us that would like to see what all speaks and how it sounds and what it all can do. So it can help those of us that might be interested in the purchase of this unit and how difficult was it to get it to talk once you got it home and set up so that you could then use the talking features on this unit? I heard that on the satellite radio for the blind list, forget the info to subscribe, there was a message that was going around about trying to get XM to make something accessible. I don't know what is going with that. Re: Sirius Stiletto 10 Satellite Radio
What Fcc rules? To have a reggiler am or fm radio transmiter, it requiers you to have an Fcc licence to use them to brodcast. Satellite radio isn't govirened by FCC rules and reggilations. But if you ask me, XM has some katching up to do consurning the blind. - Original Message - From: "Brent Harding" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC audio discussion list. while i respect toms comments, i would like to clarify a few things 1. the stileto is available at most major electronics retailors. 2. Xm in major cities is using many ground fm repeaters which violate fcc repeator regulations. 3. Although it is probably my aging brain, I cannot get started when attempting to follow the instructions in the docs file. Xm in major cities is using many ground fm repeaters which violate fcc repeator regulations. 3. The murger would not effect the end user for nearly 5 years. and in order to keep rellivance let me point out that the sirius web player is also quite useable tj - Original Message - From: "Tom" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Sent: Thursday, May 03, 2007 2:51 PM Subject: Re: Sirius Stiletto 10 Satellite Radio > This thread is straying way off topic for the pc audio list. > Please keep messages pertinent to the list's intent, > discussing pc audio. > > Thanks, > > Tom > > > > Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... > http://www.pc-audio.org > > To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
skype and the pac mate
Hi all, I just went to help my friend get skype set up on her pac mate. I can't find which version of skype I need to get. Can anyone tell me? I found the mobile part, but there's no list of processors, and there's no generic one any more. So any one who can point me to the right file I'd definitely be grateful. Thanks, Brandon -- Brandon Hicks Email: hicks.brandon 2 at gmail dot com MSN messenger: same as above lj: seether12 skype: reyuth My show on kool360 runs Wednesdays from 7 to 11 pm eastern. Unless I'm doing something wrong, the Stiletto does not speak the menus, at least the 100 doesn't. Just the chanels. Copy protected wma files.
Hello! I have some copy protected wma files here and want to convert them to .ogg format. I have tried goldwave but it does not work. Does soundforge or any other program do this? Thanks in advance. /Anders. Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
