I am afraid Multyquence is not accessible. I would suggest you use nTrack

Re: Good mikes for my Edirol r09

2006-10-01 Thread Kathy Szinnyey
Hi, Bob. Thanks so much for this tip. We actually own a pair of little
clip-on mikes that we might try to mount on a headband or something. My
concern with that is the mikes will still pick up a lot of handling noise,
but I guess that would be true of these really cool headphone mikes as well?
The thing I like about the Edirol is you get lots less of that, but I still
want more stereo separation in our recordings.

Anyone have any ideas about dealing with handling noise besides the obfious
about just not moving at all?

Peace,
Kathy

p.s. I may also want to look for a good podcaster's list, of course, but I
always enjoy you all on this list a lot!

HI, gang! I'm looking for a couple of stereo mikes form my R09, which
 I
adore. But sometimes I want much wider stereo separation in my
 recordings.
Is there such a critter, for not an ungldly amount of money, like a
 pair
 of
stereo mikes with headphones so I don't have to get more wires tangled
 up
than necessary, that doesn't require a pre-amp, which means more wires?
 Is
this too odd a request? Thanks for any help you all may know about.

 Peace,
 Kathy

Re: Some Goldwave Questions

2006-10-01 Thread G. McFarlane
Hi Samuel
Thanks for your response. I perhaps should have been clearer as to my goal -
my intention was to take a video file and clean up the audio with this
program as it seems to do this. I already use Audition but you can only
separate the soundtrack from the video, not clean it and resave the whole
file. I think mtrack will do something similar.

I haven't tried mtrack for audio and should really get round to it.
Thanks.

Re: default audio player

2006-10-01 Thread Chris Skarstad
Hi.
Basically, what you need to do is tell the media player you're
installing brand new, to take everything it can. Winamp as an
example will do this with the click of one button in the preferences.
Or, if you just want audio, press the audio only button. Want videos
only? Press the video only button.
The preferences of all the media players that are out there are a
good place to go, and in Windows Media player, at least version 10 (I
haven't played with version 11 so I don't know about that), you have
to go to the file types tab in preferences. Check all the boxes for
the file types you want it to grab and it'll do that. On my
particular system, I've got Winamp handling mp3, WMA, aac and ogg
files, Windows media player handles most streams with windows media
player, and real player handles all the real media stuff.
and all the players actually behave themselves!

Hope this helps.

simply put lameenc.dll in your audiograbber directory, that's it.

when you have checked the presence of laneenc.dll in the a g directory,
go to the option / mp3 settings menu
and select the audio format and encoder used from there.

lame is in the internal encoder and it's selected by default

VBR

2006-10-01 Thread Brandon Hicks
Hi all,
I've got a few questions reguarding VBR MP3 files. I want to make my
music collection as small as possible. Most of it is at 192 KBPS MP3
right now and it takes up about 6 gigs. If I were to rerip what CDs I
still have that aren't destroyed, what VBR settings with CDEX 1.70
should I use to minimize size, but keep it at about 192-like quality?
Most of it is rock with some harder metal in.

Thanks,
Brandon
