questions about stopping recording with replay AV
Hi, this is Steve. For the most part, I am having no problems with Replay AV. What I need to know, if I check the box to record now, on a stream, I don't know how to properly stop the recording without closing the program. I was hoping the record now check box was a toggle. When I do suddenly stop, I then go in to the recording and change the .cap to .MP3, since the abrupt stop didn't allow for the proper conversion, that's if the stream is MP3 to start with. I also need to know this, because if I record a stream which is to convert Real to MP3, I don't know what to do with the .cap extension for this. Is there a way to stop a stream recording, so that the requested conversion will take place, and can I do anything with those files that have .cap when the stream was other than MP3? Thank you very much. ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com. YES. FOCUS ON THE SHOW IN THE SHOW LIST. HIT THE APLICATIONS KEY TO BRING UP THE CONTEXT MENUE. THE FIRST ITUM IS STOP RECORDING. TO PROPERLY ACTIVATE THIS YOU NEED TO ROOT YOUR JAWS CURSER TO PC AND LEFT CLICK ON IT. IT WILL ASK YOU IF YOU WANT TO SAVE THE RECORDING. JUST PRESS THE SPACEBAR ON THE YES VUTTON OR JUST HIT THE Y KEY. HOPE THIS HELPS BUT THIS WORKS VERY WELL. - Original Message - From: "stever2525" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC audio discussion list. Question about Replay-radio A-V
For the last several Sundays, I have been trying to record a 4 hour long program, from 8 P. M. to 12 A. M. and was able to do it with version 6. However, now I get nothing but the promo's which begin each program from National Public Radio. There were 832 such promo's the next morning. I like the idea of capturing the stream and outputting it to a MP3 file which is the reason for trying to stick to Replay-Radio A-V. Any help would certainly be appreciated. Re: Question about Replay-radio A-V
Hi, Jim. I have the latest version of Replay a/v. and though I have had some frustrations with it, I routinely record a couple longish weekly programs with perfect results. Most of what I record comes from different public radio stations. I could test your program if you want, though I may not be able to do so this Sunday. Re: Question about Replay-radio A-V
Deane, I am certainly grateful for your very kind offer. I am going to give it another try this Sunday to see what happens. While I am at it, another big thank you for all you do for the Blind community. The TopDotEnterprises news letter Thursdays are both enjoyable and very useful. Loud Feedback When Using Direct Monitoring in Sonar
Hi, My MIDI sequencer, Sonar, has a function called "Direct Monitoring" that allows you to monitor what's going through the sound card. I have to use this with some plugins, such as vocoders. However, when I use the direct monitoring feature, I always hear things echoing back at me, and a high-pitched squeal. The only way I can get rid of this behavior is by either turning the panning controls on my mixer to the left, or by muting the channels going to the sound card, then using my mixer's Prefader buttons. Is there a way I can get rid of this annoying echo so I can use these plugins? Also, if I were to get a better sound card, such as one of the M-Audio models, would that help? Thanks.
