Re: Reduce Distortion

2006-04-01 Thread Bruce Toews
As I've said, reducing distortion is nearly, if not completely,
impossible. You might be able to mask the distortion with an equalizer,
but that would be at the expense of frequencies that were part of the
original sound. Gold Wave will let you mess with dequalizer settings too.

GET GOING WITH GOOGLE

2006-04-01 Thread Pele West
Hi Everyone

I am trying to buy Jonathan Mosen's "Get Going with Google Audio Tutorial". I
do not have a Paypal account so with to pay wish my credit card. There is a
note on the website telling me to click on the button to pay with a credit
card, but I cannot see a button.

Has anyone else had this experience and, if so, is there a way round it, apart
from opening a Paypal account?

Can Jonathan Mosen supply any guidance?

Hello!
Yes and now i have tried it out.
And i have to say With the risk of beeing agressive that why pay any bucks
for such shit as Goldwave and or Soundforge when audacity works much much
better with these kinds of effects.
Ok you can not do evrything with audacity as a blind person but you can do
alot and the quality of many effects is much better than for example
GOldwave.

How much is gold wave? How much is the aformentioned? I like all functions
of a program to be accessible to a blind person, I'd pay money for goldwave
or sound forge (although sound forge is, well, a bit off my budget for a
computer program).

Re: Microphone....

2006-04-01 Thread Jerry Richer
BJ! Yes, you need a stereo microphone pre-amp and a stereo microphone
or two monaural microphones. The microphone or microphones would plug into
the preamp. The preamp would plug into the Line Level input of your Sound
Card. For a good inexpensive preamp you're looking at $120.

Go to www.goldwave.com and you'll see the price. It's not at all expensive

more replay 7AV problems

2006-04-01 Thread blsmass
As I mentioned a couple days ago I upgraded to replay-AV 7.10 and since
then haven't been able to use my computer very easily if it is
downloading. I reinstalled the software which didn't help. Also, many
of the links are wrong recording at the wrong hour etc. I wouldn't
advise anybody to try this new upgrae, or if you have the old download
save it somewhere as I did not. I am really unhappy about this since I
thought it was such a great product. It took me a couple days to get a
response which was not helpful at all. I have 512 MB ram and I don't
know if more memory would help or not. I am running XP with jaws and
little else running at startup. Anyway, just wanted to advise you in
case you heard about the update. They did add some stations, a stereo
version of KPFK but it doesn't matter a lot if I can't use my computer.
Thought you would like to know. Kurt

Re: GET GOING WITH GOOGLE

2006-04-01 Thread Chris Skarstad
hi. This is directly from the mosen explosion website on the page
for the Google tutorial...

After clicking the "Make Payments with Pay Pal" button, the next
screen displays a button
that says to click here if you don't have a Pay Pal account. Clicking
this button presents you with a standard secure form for entering
credit card details,
completely bypassing the need for you to set up a pay Pal account.

hope that helps.

I wonder if anyone can recomend a good program that can do
 pitchshifting.
I do not like either goldwave or soundforges pitchshifting.
I was talking to a guy in a music store and he recomended a program but
 i
really do not remember the name of that.
 It wasnt cuebas or cakewalk.
