How does one go about remapping these menu colors to JAWS? It really amazes me how FS will let things go, as well as leave the same bugs in JFW from version to version. aha! colours! could well be the problem. how do you remap the darned things though? as for FS! they have a wonderful record of fixing a few bugs, but creating more than they fix with each release. update scripts etc for programs? don't be silly! why on earth would they want to do that? *smiles* Kevin - co-owner/moderator of the blind gamers discussion list contact me via email/msn: [EMAIL PROTECTED] - Original Message - From: "Brian Hansen" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC audio discussion list. A Freeware Racing Game
Normally on this list we chat about audio as it relates to music and production but I'd like to chat about a new game that has recently come out and that's taking the blind gaming community by storm. The game is a Racing game and it's called Top Speed2. The idea is you have your keyboard or a stearing wheel and you race around tracks. The sound of the cars is most Realistic and there are plenty of ad on cars and tracks. You also can either host a server for 7 of your friends to play on or log in to a server that's being hosted. If your in to sports you will most deffinately enjoy this one. You'll play this game for hours. Now the cost you ask? Well the fine developers in the Netherlands who wrote this game have decided to give it away completely free of charge. You can go to: http://playinginthedark.net and download the game and all the extra tracks and ad ons. Also you can learn how to design your own racing cars and tracks and a few blind people have already done this. Try this freeware game. I think you'll be most impressed. Re: purchasingg Sound Forge
Could sound forge convert MS media player files to wav, assuming they have no DRM on them? What more would one want to do in batch processing than just straight file conversion? For my situation, I'd want to split files into hour or so long pieces so winamp plays nice, using my remote to fastforward gets buggy in 4 hour long shows with sqr crossfade running. The way I have to do things is sort of jerky because I have to use the goldwave demo to convert and split, and studio recorder to edit commercials, news, etc out. My system is likely to fall apart in 3 months when the studio recorder beta expires, but goldwave just doesn't fastforward in large chunks or fast enough like studio recorder does. I heard Sound Forge will do it. - Original Message - From: "Judy W" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC audio discussion list.
